With almost 900 miles on this new engine, giving the man who built it proper recognition is long overdue. Although you don’t see his name mentioned on this board very much these days, Mr. Ken Duttweiler is a legend in the Turbo Buick world.

Kenny and his wife Margie were very pleasant to work with. He always took time out of his busy day to take my call and go over the progress of my build as well as just shoot the breeze when he had an extra moment. For someone who’s name is recognized worldwide as a premier engine builder, not only in the Turbo Buick world but for other platforms as well, he is as humble a person you will ever come across and an absolute straight shooter. A true class act and gentleman - traits not commonly found these days. It’s easy to see why his services are always in high demand without ever needing to advertise and when you get an engine built at his shop, it is actually built by Kenny himself. The man is a true living legend and I am grateful to own one of his engines.

Special thanks to the late “OG Legend”, Mike Fujita. Old timers here might remember his low 8 second Buick back in the early 2000’s or his stint in NHRA Pro Stock. Mike loved to talk Turbo Buicks and always made a point to check on the progress of my build whenever he visited Kenny’s shop. Sadly, Mike passed before the motor was completed but I will forever remember all the help and guidance he provided.

Well said. Kenny and Margie are top notch and so down to earth. Truly a living legend. I too feel privileged to own one of Kenny’s torque monsters.
