Official Buicks @ Bates Nut Farm thread Sunday 5 June 2022

Can't wait! Hopefully my car is running for it..

The second largest gathering of Turbo Buicks in the nation is one week from today. Weather forecast looking good. Looks to be another great raffle. Eric has T-shirts. Not sure who's caravanning down. Feel free to post up groups if needed. I'm getting my GN ready this weekend.
Can't wait.

I'll be there but it's looking like the car won't unless I find a TV cable real soon...

Got one on the way but not sure if I will have time to get it in and fix the other little issues I am having.
I just had to pull tranny out today and dont need mine until parts come in for the trans, if you want you can have or barrow mine until yours comes in. It will cost you a beer :) Let me know, you got my number.

It should be here tues... have other problems to track down though.

Bad news for me.

Work is so busy and turned upside down in the present, I just can't afford to take the Monday after the show off to travel back to AZ.

I have 7 cars due out that day (back to customers that have been waiting FAR to long) to put that on a coworker. Especially if there is a problem, and they occur more often than I would like.

I had planned on staying Monday AND Tuesday, but I have 4 more due out on Tuesday.

I just can't make it happen. Sorry, everyone trying to make this thing be one of the best. Say "Hi" for me........

At least I won't have to sit in I-5 traffic stalled this year.

Next year, though!

Wanted to see what everyone thinks of this idea.
There has been talk of changing the raffle ticket price from $1.00 a ticket to $5.00 a ticket.

What would this do?
The people buying tickets would still have the same odds of winning, but not have to be wrestling with five times as many tickets to do it.
Think of when we're calling numbers and all the tickets you have to look through. It would make it much simpler.
Volunteers selling tickets will now only have 1/5th as many tickets to tear up and handle.

Once again, Given the same money spent, your odds would still be the same of winning. There would just be 1/5 as many tickets to draw from.

Thoughts?

Though I won't be there this year, I will be next year.

It's just like the lottery, no matter the common thought, more tickets DO NOT = a better chance of winning. It only takes one.

I like it.

The ticket sellers work their asses off, they deserve a little break.

I think that would be a good change. Easier to manage.
