As the title says, i{m putting out the feeler to see if anyone happens to have a GEN II Precision turbo 7675 or 7685 laying around that they would part with.

Thanks

Adrian

Have a 71/68. Little smaller than what your looking for went 9s on a stage 2

yeah, im just trying to kiss the 7´s and be able to drive it on the street and still have a fun car. I currently have a Gen I 7675 and its a great turbo, but i don´t think it will have enough steam to get the job done.

I have a Turbonetics T-70, haven't done any measurement on it yet, if you can't find your Precision

Have you tried running it out?and how much does the car weight?
I dont think a gen1 gives that much away to a gen 2.

I’ve run mine to 34psinand at that point I had 2:1 backpressure.

I now have a new cam which will help and a 25.3 chassis (before it was a roll bar)

The Gen II turbos also have improved airflow so I was hoping that it would have helped with my backpressure issue.

Did you try using a bigger ar?

My current turbo has a 1.28 a/r. The largest precision offers. So I don’t know how much these would be to gain if I went slightly larger.

Are there larger a/r ratios available for a divided T4 gt42 style housing?

Using the Wallace Racing - ET/MPH/HP calculator, based on an 8.72 ET and 156 MPH trap speed- his calculated vehicle weight is about 3575 t0 3600 lbs with the driver. The calculated Flywheel HP is about 1050 with the Gen 1 turbo. A Gen2 7675 turbo will not provide enough additional flywheel HP propel a 3600 lbs vehicle into the 7 second range without reducing the current vehicle weight by approximately 400-500 lbs based on math and physics in my opinion.

Dont take this the wrong way but I am well aware of the math calculations which is why I asked the question.
I had no knowledge of the cars weight or et and mph to even program in the numbers.
Not sure why you quoted me.

Thankfully the car now weighs 3000lbs :)
At 3000lbs
With 1150hp
You should be in the 7s inmo.

That's a big ar for a 76.
BP wont be from that ar.
I have a 7675 on a car here that made 1000rwhp on .96 ar.
Turbo is rated for 1150hp it's older.

I completely agree
