Is CK Performance still around?

Can't be that bad of a guy I called him out of the blue as a turbobuick nobody for a torque converter n he took the time to talk to me about my combo recommended a size n stall n shipped it promptly, good guy in my book.

Might as well bump this instead of making a new thread. I ordered a 200 pump, 2 overrun clutches, and 2 steels back on September 19. Called a couple times and got the word that Chris was behind on pumps and there were a few ahead of mine. Not sure if the covid BS is playing a part in the delay. Anyone have any current dealings with CK?

I managed to get one of his custom spacer plates a couple years ago, I tried to get some other things & it was like he ignored me for some reason. Go to guy would be David.

This was years ago but Chris went out of his way for me to not only get my parts, but ship them as I asked as I'm up here in Canada.

Dammit. I read up on ck before making the purchase and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Must have missed the important threads, huh?

I had a not so good experience with ck back in the day....dave is the man...I never ever ever ever heard any thing bad about him...that should answer anyone's questions on where to go or to get parts from.

Well, surprising update here. I opened up a Paypal complaint a few days ago which prompted me to contact them(CK) before escalating the claim to a refund status. I sent them a message and got a reply from them(CK) the next day with tracking info. They said it was shipped back in November when I last called them, so they were clearly lying as the tracking info I got a couple days ago shows it was billed/shipped on 1/10. Currently on its way to me, so we'll see. Given the problems here, I'm thinking I should disassemble the pump and check it out before installing it. Also Lonnies pump is here so guess I'll have 2 pumps now.

You play with fire you get burned.... It amazes me how these guys stay in business after STICKING SO MANY PEOPLE over the years.... Snakes....
Can’t remember the track but remember your rosewood t catching afire or smokin on top end u got out of that car fast … many moons ago

Everything arrived just fine and was packaged well in bubble wrap. Steels and clutches, large o-ring and gasket, pump looks nice but haven't taken it apart yet, and came with a package of washers for the 7 pump bolts. They also switched out the 3 torx bolts for the stator support to regular hex(probably 3/8). Never meant to slam CK...just detailing my first experience with them. Seems the paypal message lit a fire under their butt.

Swapping out the stator bolts is noted in his manual. I did it on mine.
Glad you got your stuff, although quite late and only after the threat of getting their money taken back.
I would definitely be disassembling it just to make sure.

I'll be keeping the CK pump as a spare and am using Lonnies pump now. As for stator bolts...Lonnies pump came back with the stock torx bolts and...NO locktite! That's what started this whole mess...the 3 torx bolts backing out which allowed the stator support to loosen up and crack the pump housing. Well...I removed each one and put locktite on them. The engine and trans are ready to go back together finally. :D

Good you are getting things together. Lots of parts waiting going on for now. I know this right here is why I try to do everything myself. Even if there is an expert, I don't learn anything and I enjoy wrenching on stuff. One of the reasons I love D Husek. Always willing to help with tech and such, and seems to have it in stock and ready to go on parts.
