Hello everyone one in the turbo buick community. I am starting a ms3 pro install in my turbo Buick . I’ve been wanting to remove all my old stock wiring . I have had electrical issues ever since I have purchased the car so hopefully this will cure that issue . So I will be wiring this ms3 up without using the stock ignition module. This requires me to wire the cam and crank sensor directly in to the MS3 . I will also need to use a 1k resistor or a pull-up resistor on the crank signal in order for the signal to be read by the ms3. I have also purchased a new set of ignition coils the good expensive IGN-1A coils as well as some new high impedance 210lb/hr injectors. That is the main difference between the MS3pro ultimate and the MS3pro Evo . The ultimate cam run low impedance injectors where the evo would need a resistor box in line with the injector wiring in order to run low impedance injectors. I will be running a flex fuel sensor to run on ethanol. I also added on a WiFi adapter that will allow me to connect to the MS3pro wireless which is pretty cool . I will try and update this thread as I go because I know there isn’t very many turbo Buick’s that are running a MS3pro Evo or ultimate. They do have a nice plug and play unit for our cars but that would be running through the stock wiring which is what I wanted to replace. And just so everyone knows I am far from a professional when it comes to wiring or tuning with this system. I am learning as I go along and if I can do it I’m convinced that the average mechanically/electrically inclined person can tackle this install .

Acouple more pics . I have also upgraded my 140amp alternator to a 200amp unit. .i also have found a egt amplifier for a lot cheaper then the ones you would get ready to go . I paid $40 each . That gives me 8 k type egt inputs with 8 0-5vdc outputs

Okay so I got my coils in the mail today aswell as my EGT amplifier. I made a new fuel injector harness and have straight alternator power coming in to them through 2 separate legs that will power the 2 separate banks . Now I’m working on the ignition wiring .

So I made a ignition sub harness for my ING-1A ignition coils . I had bought a 12 pin connector and ran the ecm signal and the ecm ground through the connector. Then I have 12vdc going to each bank and a head ground going to each bank

Any more progress? I've been looking at something for mine but these bust my budget currently. Though I have been reading up on ecu and tuning and watching YouTube vids on the subject.

Here is a link to the megasquirt forum for those interested.

Hey bud sorry I haven’t updated in awhile. So I recently had some issues with my MS3pro Evo . I couldn’t connect to the ecm . We had some rain in Southern California and after inspecting the usb connector on the MS3pro I noticed some water corrosion on the insiders the connector. So I ordered another connector and installed it . So now my laptop would identify the ecm and give it a port number in my device manager but still the ecm would not communicate with my laptop . So I arranged to send it back to amp efi . They received it and discovered that my serial monitor was messed up . Luckily it was just a software issue that they where able to fix without replacing abunch of internal parts . I should be receiving it back today all fixed and ready to go . Here is some pictures of the water damage and the connector I replaced

Is there any way to fix the missing pictures from earlier posts? This is stuff that I really want to be able to see!
yea ill try and re post them . i dont know why it does that with pictures . there is a bunch of posts that would be great sources of information but the dam pictures that help greatly are MIA.

SWEETNESS! I have a bunch of questions that I should PM, but I"m going to post them in case others are in the same boat.

The "hardware" side of my build is pretty much done. I just unboxed my MS3ProEvo today and installed the software on the PC. Firmware is upgraded (v1.5.1), but that is about it. I plan to get it running on the stand first, then swap into the car.

What little box are you using to get your 5V source?
Any specific reason you made your own injector harness instead of using a stock one?
Did you have a tune to start with or did you start from scratch?
You find any really good websites that helped you get started? I'm an IT guy, but this is all new to me.
