TE-60 Turbo..........

running a te62 with a 3200-3400 lu converter and on 24 psi pump gas and alky... its scary....

What was ur ET? I have a TE-61 with a 2800 9x11 my best is 7.15 on pump gas and 20#
I want to say 11.48 1/4 7.40’s 1/8 I had an art car 3200 that felt like a 3500 on the track .. it would nose down after the 1/8 . I never ran 28’s on that combo just 26 my dr’s best 60 was a 1.48

Great turbo, I ran one to 10.60s but had a lot of backpressure in the turbine side at that power level. Did it on both E85 and pump+alky.

There were back in the day alot of different ex wheel options for a 60 turbo.in reality a 60 can be paired with a few different ex wheels up to a p trim.

I will, is the te62 more capable than a te60? With the right converter cam heads setup?
What you need to really look at is what the turbine side is capable of and the weight of the car.hint 2 more MM of compressor even though the compressor actually makes the power, means little if your ex wheel cannot get ex out.

I have the .63 housing and a 3inch downpipe and 2.5 catback

The TE60 is a great turbo ran 11.2X @ 120
I'm running the newer style 60 5957 11.2X @ 121

I did a little pull on the street with an app on my phone, leaving on no boost, it ran a 12.06 at 119 mph??? Only 24 psi... it hauls once it spools. I have a 2-3 flare so I’m losing time there as well  Can’t wait to go to mid Michigan drag strip to see what it’ll run... about to pull the trigger on a Janice tranny...

The 59/60mm is an underrated great street turbo for the v6, spools instantly and works well from 12.0 to 10.90 with many combo's,my 5965 was fantastic with almost zero back pressure on a 206/212, 60#ers, 0-pump vigilante , alky and 28 psi w/ stretch slic , you should be killing it in the 1/8th

I only run 20# 11.28@118. Traps 120 but slower et when my 60’ sux

MPH is indicative of HP...but if you can't get the HP to the back tires, you won't MPH well. I'd be more interested in the TC he's using.
Ran a 13 year old 12" LU Neal Chance 2800 and ran a PTC 9.5 NL 2800...trap MPHs were the same. The PTC lowered my trap rpms 200...5500 vs 5700.

Neal Chance and PTC 9.5 make great convertors. Convertors are the most important piece of the puzzle. Most get it wrong.
