GN Header Panel.

I found a company that makes fiberglass reproductions (verse injection molded) - looks like a quality piece however almost $500 delivered. For those with deep pockets the company name is Danko reproductions. I'll try and reuse what I have and hopefully some manufacturer will eventually realize the potential and need with a lower price point

Yeah, every reproduction out there has some major problems, pro body people can make some fit but only with hours of work.
How about we boycott SpoolFool until he agrees to make them.:p:LOL:

Highway Stars has a new tooling header panel available without the emblem hole. $400

Has anyone tried this header panel yet?

I know Highway Stars sells good stuff but I’m skeptical. I wouldn’t think they’d sell those Danko junk ones.

I’m still using the regular Regal header panel on my GN. My body man is good. He smoothed over the ornament hole with perfection, but if I park in the sun there seems to be different expansion rates which makes the ornament hole very visible.

Any reviews on the Highway Stars header panel?

in 2005, with GM continuing to discontinue turbo regal specific part and no aftermarket solutions to be found, i sought out and procured spare front end parts. better to have them and not need them than the other way around...

I found a header panel marketed by:

US Auto Parts Network, Inc.
17150 S. Margay Ave
Carson, CA 90746

From the sales rep, their part # 5225 was supposed to be an exact fit for a turbo regal----exterior sport option. couldn't be further from the truth.

it was a panel for a regular regal, WITHOUT exterior sport package. I did procure a spare, real '87 GN front end later that year. I do not know of anyone making a correct replacement header panel for a turbo regal. only ones that fit are original GM header panels and in the past decade, many folks have obtained a spare just in case.

pics below are of the 5225 header panel part illustrating the part is of no use

the posts above me show the HighwayStars marketed header panel is stated to be made by GoodMark. Well, GoodMark did a wonderful job on the reproduction grilles, headlight bezels, flexible bumper fillers, etc. among other pieces they have made for the turbo Regals since SEMA show introduction in 2015. Attached is the GoodMark catalog from that time showing a GN on the cover.

the header panel is shown in that catalog, but for 5 years, no one here has had anything to say about it? and HighwayStars is just doing something with it as of June 2020? seems like no one has been paying attention.

as it seems Goodmark has had this part available for 5 years, perhaps that is why Mike B. has chosen not to make them.

since HighwayStars is still closed for vacation, those interested can call GoodMark direct at 877.477.3577. Sales reps Tony and John know their g-bodies. you can buy direct from Goodmark as well.

I would say its safe to say if glen is selling it now...its probably pretty good ...as always thx for the info Anthony ...

Just got off the phone with Goodmark - ordered a header panel and some black bumpers - The header panels were out of stock for over a year and they just got them in May - already 200 sold in the last month, I think they said they have 400+ in stock. When I checked the website the part didn't show but just call and they will connect you with Tony who seems to know everything about our cars - Thank you Anthony P whoever you are :)

I wonder where they come from.

Most of all I’m concerned about quality. I understand there will most likely be modifications necessary but to what extent?

There was a body man who bought a new header from somewhere and dicked with it for 5 hours, and it still wasn’t right. Want to avoid that.

keep us posted on quality.Goodmark has normlly pretty high quality reproduction parts from my expirience with them .was the price the same from goodmark as highway stars?

I have purchased bumper fillers and and bumper from GoodMark in Monroe,GA from Mark ,parts fit perfect no adjusting.
Same with Hwystars lots of parts. If either one of these two vendors produce or contracted and aftermarket header panel,
and I hope soon, if needed i would have no issue dropping the coins to purchase one.

I believe good mark has had this product for about 5 years now ....kinda of curious on why no one has reported back on this....and I do not not believe you could even get one from GM back in the day they had to order one form Taiwan or something ...even though it came from GM parts desk ...thats where they got it from ...at least that's what I've heard...

Highway Stars has the rights to these now and helped tweak them to be a true bolt on. They know what's up and I bet these will be a huge seller over time for them at this price. I'm in the market for one when I fix my front end issues.

Goodmark list price was $299 for the header panel - (discounting to body shops / account holders). I'm thrilled to find this part at a reasonable price!! They also sell the bumper rubber pads with and w/o the white stripe - reasonable enough to convert mine from chrome to black bumpers :)
