Over the years I've moved to a smaller turbo, updated my trans and moved to a different converter. The turbo spools stupid fast killing the MTDRs (recovers quickly) and causes transition knock. Alky turn-on is factory setting. Initial is set to 12 o'clock. Tested alky pump voltage with gain knob at 8, voltage read 6.12 No leaks in the alky system.

Side note: no transition knock when octane is added. I don't have log files to share. Looking for feedback on how others resolved this.

I'm thinking three things
1) lower the alky turn-on point
2) Install Julio's check valve.
3) add fuel to first gear

Start experimenting with those then. Having the pump start earlier would get more alky into the mix sooner if it's spooling that fast.

bison's alky plate ...is an excellent product ...tested ...proven ...and gets your drink where you want it ...in a more efficient model...

a far superior method of delivery of alky ...if your into that kind of stuff ...
Delivery of alky is not his issue, julios kit is on the fastest alky cars out there so I dont understand how you can say that there are superior ways of delivering methanol.

If your seeing octane increase reduce or eliminate knock your not spraying enough or your not spraying early enough.this can be from either low pump pressure, turn on point,or volume.i dont know your setup but how many nozzles and what king of pressure are you seeing?also timing timing is a factor as well

I made the curve more aggressive

i thought you said delivery is not the issue....

i never said julio's kit was not great ...i just feel that getting the juice closer to the intake holes is superior....spraying directly into each port ....just an opinion...

he is looking for tech info not feeling.direct port is when the juice is shot directly into the chamber;)

hugh ...i thought direct injection was directly into the chamber...and direct port injection was into the intake port ...and was replying to you on my feeling on the idea of the alky plate ....the tech i was trying to offer was a more uniform way of fuel delivery..or a better way to increase his volume actually making it into combustion...in my original post ...back to my tractor ;)

Mmmmmm love how threads squirrel. I don't care about the alky plate thank you for your help spending my money. :p

I'll play around and post findings.

Maybe one day you could prove this, because it's been proven over and over that through the up pipe make it's way into the chamber.his situation is not how it's making it in.and furthermore going into alky tech thread and pushing another product that wont solve the issue is just not good tech.if he doesn't change when it goes in another system wont matter.

my bad... wasnt really trying to push a product ...was feeding off that exact comment ....pronto made about having the pump start earlier to get more juice into the equation with the faster spool up...just another way to possibly get more or better way to introduce the alky quicker..... if thats the issue ....jeez...i understand the delivery through the up pipe works and is a tried and true tested method ...just thought newer way might help with his current set up ...thats all ...didnt mean to upset anyone ...
