Hey, guys! New to the forum as well as a new owner to a 1986 Regal T-Type. Only thing I’m not in love with is the fact that it has a column shifter and the previous owner removed the original buckets and swapped it with a 60/40 bench out of another one of his T-Types.. He gave me the original buckets but they need to be reupholstered and there plenty of other things I would rather get done before that. Either way until then I would at least like to get rid of the column shifter and throw a floor shifter in her. What I’m really looking for but haven’t had any luck finding is a pre-owned Lightening-Rod Shifter! Please if anyone has or know someone who is willing to sell their Lightening-Rod Shifter please let me know! I’m also looking for a few gauges as well. Knock, volt, water etc. just lmk what you have! Gauges alone or in an A-pillar or for hood. Just lmk, thanks!

Hi and welcome to the wonderful world of Turbo Buicks. Say if you go to the parts for sale and look at my ad says Bunch of Buick Parts and I'm m233roller. I have a very nice double gray pod for the A pillar with a boost gauge and a Caspers knock gauge all wired up and ready to go.
Thanks Mike
PS. Those lightning rod shifters are kind of hard to come by and when they do show up for sale they want a fortune for them.

Thanks, Mike! I appreciate it and you’re not kidding about it being the Turbo Buick World.. I’ve already learned it’s an entire world on its own and an expensive one at that! And I will have to shoot over to the Parts For Sale area thanks! Also, is there a way I can edit this original post? I didn’t realize till soon after postinfI forgot to include that I’m really looking for a pre-owner Kilduff Machine Lightening Rod Shifter as they start at $400, look better (my opinion) and function better compared to the original Hurst Rods which I saw one man selling his for over $2,300 yesterday!!!

You are so right, Turbo Buicks are a world of their own PLUS they are nothing but money pits !! I've been at them for 28 years. I'm known very well on this board and I have lots of Buick parts, sell on here all the time. You ever need something, give me a shout. Thanks Mike
