They pulled the cam out. It's no good. Can't use. Soooooo. What cam do y'all recommend. Either in Flat Tappet or Roller. When build is done. It will have stock bottom end. Slightly or full P/P Heads & Intake. 60 Turbo. 60lb Injectors. And a 2800 stall. On top of other things. Thanks John.

With the oils of today and if budget will allow, roller.

If you do go flat tappet, you will need to add ZPPD to every oil change and in time you will be at the same money spent.

Yep. But if i go roller. Do i need to run roller rockers. Or is that determined by lift of the cam.

The ppl thats running in the 11's. What cams are the running. Comp / Reed ?? And what's the spec or part # of cam kit.

I ran a 212/212 Comp Cams flat tappet with NOS GM lifters. Full Throttle has complete roller cam kits which is likely the most inexpensive way to go.

It's a wonder any cam stays in a 109...
A check with the BHJ Lifter Tru fixture, and you'll quickly see why there are lifter bushings made.

If your going to be seeking 10s in the future i would put 2 billet main caps in your block build, with at least a 206/206 roller , and you mentioned ported heads now so id tell Bison to build you a budget Mfs 6262jb and skip over the te60 "takes too much boost to run 10s", and have $800 put aside for a real converter.

Few know more about cams in these engines for a specific goal and combo than Bison, period. Do yourself a favor and quit asking for opinions. PM @bison and get the facts.

The deal below is done, but the knowledge and facts remain unchanged.
