C'mon man went to Dunkin donuts and from where I stood in line I could count 13 cameras visible to me, in a damn coffee shop, what the hell is going on?
Home security forget about it wasn't long ago if u had cameras at your house u were seen a no fun having uptight paranoid freak, now it's the norm. Not sure if it's the evolution of technology or devolution of society, or an ulterior master plan? Great now I'm paranoid

Cameras are cheap insurance. As long as no one has to review them e.g crime then no ones gunna ever view the tapes. I feel safe around cameras I feel they protect me, the most important person in the world. They're everywhere anyways.

What we gotta be worried about are government cameras or civilian cameras connected to government systems. That's too far. They have our facial recognition via DLs so for the government to use cameras every where they could track anyone everywhere. Yikes! Government cameras on government property, okay. Not everywhere.

IMO, cameras are not the most "dangerous" form of info gathering. Big brother is, and has been, for many yrs listening in, developing profiles, on the populace. This practice is obviously not limited to the USA. They snoop worldwide. Look what happened to OBL, and the latest terrorist, that has been 'terminated";)
LOTS of "collateral contact" is being observed/recorded. Much of which is unavoidable.
One of the problems I can see is, do they really filter out/destroy the useless info, gathered on the common person?
Looking at a product on the net, puts the relative info on your pc, almost instantly. Something as simple as a cookie, pops ads up, on your fone, pc. Think of how easily big bro can do their "look see".
Social media is a rich source for data mining. Look how often law enforcement uses Twitter, FB, to get info.
I do none of that nonsense.

Back under my injector bench....:)

Everything you said Chuck. I havent used facebook in years, I remember being in a joke group. I always saw posts asking questions like 'month you were born plus date = porn name.' Datamine birthdays. There were all kinds of posts like that for other things. I knew stuff about strangers I didnt need to know but always wondered if someone was taking notes.

Luckily, back when AOL went mainstream with their 9.99 monthly fee the mantra was to stay anonymous. I've always tried to abide by that warning.

One thing I noticed recently, maybe I'm mistaken but I ordered toiletries from Walmart online. I forgot some things and made another order. Suddenly, on the website they had some 'previous purchase' ads or whatever. Those purchases were made in store like regular shopping. How were the two connected? Credit card? Do I have a lawsuit?

Everyone has been photographed, logged and filed away for any future reference. As far as fakebook, why does anyone want to put their entire personal lives out there for all to see. What's funny is there's little things you can do to your face that will totally throw the cameras off.

That's why we need to be very careful about what we type into our computers!

This day in age everyone want to protect their assets. I have a customer that owns a famous cake shop and a rival bakery sent a person over there to fake a fall for bad publicity. When we went back and looked at the data that person had came into their bakery 9 times and every time was like a scouting mission. Facial recognition software. Fortunately they were a bad actor. I also had a company that had cameras to spot the fired employee before they could try to badge in at the security doors to come back into the building. Cameras at retail type locations can tie videos to the trans actions and do the math to keep the register money correct at the same time. They can keep registry receipts with your video. You cant go into Home Depot and make a purchase at a regular register anymore unless you are in the contractor lane. You have to pay at the kiosk that has a camera looking at your face the whole time. It tracks what you look at around the monitor, that’s why it has candy, and sometimes a drink machine right there. Think about it.

Smart fones are complicit in data mining, too. Almost to the point of being absurd.
I do no financial work, on my fone. Nor, do I have email set up, on it.

I have them all around my house, adding one more to a blind spot soon. Our town is putting up license plate tracking cameras to look for stolen/suspect vehicles but they "say" they will not be used for traffic enforcement. As long as tickets don't show up in the mail, its cool. We are close enough to the city that crime on occasion spills out this way, generally it's a roll-up-the-carpet-at-9pm town.

Just wait till 5G is fully implemented, all kinds of nasty things they can do with it.

Been hearing theories that Wifi & especially 5G is unhealthy.

IIrc some countries in europe have outlawed it and some cities here are shying away. Have read it can actually change your dna with enough exposure. They say the military has some crowd control weapons that on somewhat on the same wave length that cause intense burning and nausea and will make you fold in a heartbeat.

Any truth to the theory that if you place a house plant next to a router it'l wilt and die? IDK man just seems that everything has an agenda to it, getting tough to take things at face value, sad

Yeah, I've read about the wifi and being to close isn't good, suppose to be something like at least 6' away. Remember there's been talk for years that cell phone radiation is very bad especially holding it next to your head constantly but the g says after all the studies that its all good to go so I guess take that with a grain of salt.
Remember the worst knock at the door you can get is, "I'm from the government and I'm here to help you" or probably more appropriate, "Its dangerous to be right when the government is wrong"
