I have a new ac delco compressor, new receiver / dryer, condenser has been cleaned and blown out as well as all the lines and evaporator. What do I need to “convert” to 134? Or is it as simple as putting the adapters on the charging ports? Thanks!

use ester oil if using any of old components as it will mix with any r-12 left over vs pag oil, I believe 4 oz is recommendation but not 100 percent on this , has everything been flushed with de natured alcohol and vacuumed pulled for at least and hour ?put some ester oil in compressor , and then in the lines and charge it up. charge through the low pressure side you will probably have to jump the low pressure swith to get compressor to come on and pull in refrigerant also bleed of air in gauge lines once Hooked up to your refrigerate bottles , there are many great videos on this im sure I forgetting something

Why not go all the way and replace the condensor?
Also, which orifice tube are you going to use?
Ester oil, some dye, gas and O rings.

Vac the system for 30 mins...check for leaks, if none, add oil and dye and continue vac for at least 60 mins.
Then add the gas (engine off)
Rotate the compressor by hand several turns
Then start the engine and engage the compressor ( use a jumper at the accum)
Add gas by reading pressure based on your temp
Ac full blast, open windows

The most important is to read the gntype post..multiple times, memorize it...
Charge using the LOW Side and go slow or you may freeze the line or clog the accum suction port inside.

Orifice tube? No idea what that is. I didn’t replace the condenser because this is a 100% original restoration and you can’t get one. They’re close, but not 100%

Oh...ok.
Be sure to flush it very, very thoroughly..
The orifce tube goes on the evaporatoe smaller line.
It controls the flow and converts the liquid to gas in the system. Some say that ford blue one works wonders on converted systems.

Oh that little plastic thing with the screens? 10-4. I'll change it. Thanks!

its a red one for a 95 f150 ;)

Orifice tube ordered. The part number on amazon came up with the four seasons one but it was black. I ordered the same part number, different brand but go the red one. Thanks! Now where do i get this ester oil? Sorry if its in the link i havnt read it yet.

You can get cheap gauges and a vacuum pump at harbor freight for less than someone will charge you to do it and you'll have the satisfaction of knowing the process.

The receiver dryer should always be replaced when doing this. They're cheap and if you paint it the correct black it will be just like stock.

I’ll check it out!! Thanks. And yes, it’s already replaced and painted
