Thinking of changing my worn out 30 spline 10 bolt 8.5 Eaton clutch Posi ( needs rebuilding) with a Eaton Tru Trac setup.

Looking for real world reviews from people who are running this Eaton Tru Trac in their Turbo car

My car is Street/Strip with 600+HP. 30 Spline axles and running MH Drag radials

Will this hold up at the track with hard launches?

Noisey on street in turns?
any down sides at all??

New Tru Trac cost $492
New Eaton HD Posi $585

I cant say how it is in the 8.5 but my friend has a ls camaro with a dana 60 with roughly 1,600 -1800 hp and it holds up just fine. his 60fts off the transbrake I think are 1.3s My boss also has one in a 12bolt and it drives just like the clutch style eaton, no clunking on turns

Go 9" and you won't have to worry about it.

Any Tru Trac users want to chime in here0looking for real world results in our Turbo cars with a tru trac..

Pros/Cons??

I had one in my last car.
Worked great, no complaints here. Drove like stock.
30 spline Moser axles, Transbrake , Mid 10 second car @ 130 mph. Lots of street launches too.

Ive had mine in for 4yrs and about 500 miles still good. No issues in the way it sounds or spins. I would buy another.

I'm running this unit as well with Strange 30 spline c-clip eliminator axles. It works flawlessly, you will be happy. Many 10 second passes as well. Looking back, for the money I would second the 9 inch rear over building up the stock rear end. Just my .02 tho:)
