So, I wanted to post this in another thread I had going, but unfortunately the search function is not letting me get to it. :(

Anyways, in an effort to get the motor dialed in, I'm in the process of prepping to install a new set of 80 lb. injectors and matching chip from TurboTweak. As I recall, one of the steps is to set the fuel pressure to 43.5 PSI with the vacuum line off. I'm running the -237 FPR, so I can't really adjust the fuel pressure. But, to make sure everything is in good shape, I checked the fuel pressure anyways. Showed ~40 PSI while idling, 48 with the line off. Does this sound normal? I'm going to email Eric at TT as well, but will this be a problem? And, if I have to replace the FPR, any good options? I haven't read much good on the new Accufab AFPRs, Holley discontinued their AFPR and the -237 FPRs aren't available anymore from what I can tell (outside of paying $180 to GBodyParts). Thanks as always!!

There is only acouple that will actually work . I’m sure that most use the Accufab regulator . You should be fine with that pressure it is just alil on the high side . The Accufab cost like 150ish .

Also, Accufabs are garbage. (at least according to powerlogger logs of fuel pressure).

Kirbins FPRs seem to be the best on the market (according to powerlogger logs of fuel pressure). If I were buying one today, It'd be the Kirbins.

Not doubting that Accufabs are “garbage”, but I’ve never heard that. Mine works just fine.

When I tested the 237 on my car the fp was about 44-45 line off. 48 seems high. There may be a restriction in the return line.

I'd love to see the PL feedback you have on this.

Use the 237, it will be fine. I would get it running with the new inj/chip and see if there are any issues with BLM's, etc, and go from there.

Thanks Pronto. Wasn't aware of that thread. I have a circa 1998 Accufab FPR. Wondering if this is one of the early better ones. I've purchased the parts to log fuel pressure but haven't hooked it up yet.

The one's I logged were worse than that (and the Kirbins had a smoother graph).

It could have been because the Accufab I was playing with was brand new so it might have been because the harder steel bearing inside hadn't had a chance to pound itself into the aluminum 45 that's supposed to make a sealing area.

Although, even that wouldn't help the lightweight spring pogoing all over the place.

Supposedly the older ones are better. Best to log the fueling with the PL to see for sure.

I heard the Kirbans FPR was the best out of what's available.

What sensor are you guys using to log fuel pressure for the Powerlogger?
