What type of ride quality could i expect out of the non adjustable qa1 pro coilover system ? This would be going on a street driven car.

Or how about the single adjustable ? I see the rears dont come in non adjustable so if i bought these i would prob do the single adjustable front an rear.

I have them on all four corners. I like them. I have #150 springs on the rear ride is good but it will bottom out if I hit a large bump. I run the car to high tens.

Are you running stock front control arms, and what would you say the range of adjustability is ? Can you go from a soft stock ride to more aggressive than Bilstines ?

Thanks

I have Spohn tubular upper and lowers. I can make it corner like a sports car or run 10's at the track. I wouldn't go back to the stock set up

I’m currently running the single adjustable qa1 in the fronts and some KYBs in the rear. The qa1s have quite a bit of adjustability. You can set the shock extremely firm to extremely soft. I usually set mine at 9 of 18 for the street. Seems about right. I’ll be upgrading the rear soon. I will go double adjustable on rear, might even sell my fronts and go double adjustable on front too just to get the most out of it.

Would you say this setting is equal to the KYBs or or maybe a little stiffer like Bilsteins?
What springs are you running?, any idea what spring rates?

I’m running moog front springs, no idea on the spring rate.... as for the QA1s I would say they are stiffer than front KYBs.

What weight front springs are you guys using with the coilovers ?

550lb Viking Springs on my QA-1 Coil Overs. (Heard the Viking springs had less % sag vs QA-1 springs).
Am happy with the ride / performance. At minimum I"d go no less than 500lb. However my car is street driven. If you track your car in the 1/4 mile , you might think about 400lb springs

550 seems high for a v6 g body

I believe the standard Regal front springs are like 355 lbs./ in. or something and the touring package (GN/ TR) springs are 422 lbs./ in. I had ATR performance springs (judging from the wire size I'm guessing 525 lbs./ in.) and thought they were a little floaty even with Bilstien shocks so I went with UMI performance springs rated at 600 lbs./ in.

I'm more of a canyon carver/ road race type of guy so I'm looking forward to getting the car all together and on the road so I can check them out.

If your shocks adjust more firm than Bilstiens you may be ok with 425- 500 lb. springs if you plan on drag racing some, but I would not be afraid of a spring in the 500- 600 lb. range for the street, obviously.
I like a well controlled ride for the street.

I agree with the above.

UMI suspension all around and rear shock tower support too
QA1 dual adjustable shocks and QA1 500 lb front 200 lb rears
Big improvement running middle point on the settings

So here is an update since I hate searching for answers and find a thread that doesn’t really give the answer I was searching for and just goes dead lol. I did the single adjustable QA1 pro on the rear with 170# springs and can say I am completely satisfied although still dialing them in. The ride height has been the toughest part to dial in for me so far, for some reason my car sits a 1/4 lower on the pass side rear no matter how much I adjust that side so far at least, still have more adjusting to do but it also can sit the car much lower than I thought. I currently have them adjusted about 3/4 of the way up so if you want to lower your car these are definitely the way to go. As far as the ride quality I have tried them on the roads with the settings on 4 clicks, 6 clicks, and 10 clicks, there is still more adjustment left but I would say 4 clicks is very close to a stock type ride and 10 clicks had the rear bouncy to me for the road conditions in MI. By bouncy I don’t mean a floating type of ride that these cars are known for but more of a too stiff suspension. Hope this helps someone in the future and I will update this as I get more miles on the car. Also as far as ride height goes make sure to take your car out on the road and put a passenger in to get the springs to settle, I rode my car by myself and thought the height was dialed in but as soon as I added a passenger it settled more and rubbed ( that was the main reason I went with these is because my rear was rubbing on dips after I added 19” wheels ) after adding a passenger I had to adjust the pass side height wise.
