I would like to buy a Stage I 4.1 Off Center - Casting Number 25500016.

If you have one, let's talk. If it's the right one, I plan to make it worth it for you to sell it.

25500017 is a part # for a 4.1 liter Stage II block both have the same casting #.

I have a stock pile of Stage II stuff but it's all On center. Off center blocks are getting fairly had to come by these days.

They are still out there, guy's have them stashed away for projects that may or may not come to pass. I'm sure you'll come up with something.

Thankfully, I'm not in a jam. My TR is still running strong and healthy. I have been running this Cotton's-RPE built 016 in a twin turbo configuration for over 10 years now. Not even one single PSI of oil pressure drop.

But all good things will come to an end. And down time scares the hell out of me. I'm too old to give up a year or 2 waiting for a rebuild.

This is why I want to build an almost exact duplicate while I still have the time. So when the day comes......and it will come, I can spend a few weeks dressing the spare, and drop it in.

Of course, my current block will then become the next spare.

If all else fails, then there's always a TA block. But I'd rather not go that way.

have you contacted Mike Booher (spell check) out of Ohio. He ran a dragster and was an excellent source for stage I and II components. I can't find his contact info. Someone here must know him.

contact info I have for him is Cell: 937.272.4313 or BUICKV6@hotmail.com. this contact info is from about 2008 - don't know if still good. his stuff might all be on-center, I don't remember.

Another contact from about that time is Austin Kendall out of Oklahoma. he was the head of the OK turbo buick group at the time. I'd see him each year at the GS Nat's and/or BPG event in OH. he had a virgin 4X on-center block he was trying to re-home and I thought he had more stuff squirreled away. I'm only finding an email right now, awkendal@swbell.net. maybe someone in the mid-west regional group can put you in contact with him. Oklahoma buick performance club?

No good on this one. But thank you again. He is sitting on some on-center stuff. But not what I need. Keep the leads coming though!

Joey there is one for sale on ny craigslist search for sale/parts/Buick grand national.good luck
Thank you Jackie.

I have already contacted this seller. I have made an offer and am willing to negotiate. However, he and I are nowhere in the same ballpark. I am willing to pay a generous amount for an untouched virgin block. But when the price approaches, or even exceeds the cost of a TA block, then it only makes sense to consider the TA block as an alternative.

But please continue to keep an eye out for me. And let me know.
