TES-295 fluid?

I purchased 6 gallons three years ago and have not tested it yet, but the specs looked promising. I like the results in my builds using Dextron VI though.

ouch, I've been using the coastal multi viscosity tractor fluid. $56 or so for five gallons.

Summit had a sale on it recently 117.99 for 4 gals. Mobil Delvac synthetic. Regular price 30.99 gal.
Just put some in my 04 Duramax shifts better & trans seem to run cooler when towing.

Hard to beat dex6 , Rossler and a few of our guys recommend it and have had good luck. Many opinions on this but in the end its what makes you feel good.

I'll continue with Dex 6 in the 200-4r, but can't use it in the older Allison like I have, not recommended anyway.

Spoke with Lonnie at Extreme auto about DEX 6 a few years back and he explained that DEX 6's patent ran out and the formulation of the fluid isnt what it used to be as companys just make their version .....and he no longer uses or recommends it.

What does he want us to run in his trans now? I still have stock piles of old DeX 6

Any issues switching over from dex 6 or should it be switched during refresh?

I know I could. He's a busy person I'll ask when I'm out of DeX 6

Just looked at the current file on his site..

Fluid Recommendation Your New transmission will operate on most available transmission fluids. We have our favorites and will list if you choose to use them.

1.) B&M Quick Shift : This is a high quality type F fluid
2.) Redline, Royal Purple and Most Dextron Synthetics work well and have Hi Temp capacity
3.) Dextron 6: Look on the container for Dextron 6
4.) Dex 3, Type F are all fluids that can be used

Disclaimer; I don’t know much about transmission or transmission oil
Attached is a chart I put together of different popular oils used in automatic transmissions. The chart is solely based on “Flash point” and “price”. This ended to be an interesting exercise for sure.
