4R200 transmission

The 6R80 is a stout transmission. If it wasn't for the 4.17 1st gear I would love to see how a stock one would live behind a TR motor. For a 3.15/3.31 geared mustang with a 7K+ rpm rev limiter first gear is fun, on the TR I would think it would be useless.

This "upgrade" to a 4 speed version would be great if there was a way to make it fit in a TR. Looks like there is even a standalone controller for it. http://www.usshift.com/usq6.shtml

Got 2 local friends one hurt his dipping into 9's, other one fried clutches in mid 9's and broke input shaft in 9.1 range. Billet shaft and high 8's. Several faster. I really posted it cause the name 4R200....2004R You can transbrake it electronically lol, US Shift controller will do it also as well as 2nd gear starts too.

Yeah, name is real close :) I still would like to see one in a TR. After how many 200R4's I went through i'm not a big fan of them, there are too few people that can build them right.

Yea gonna have Otto throw it in since he did the upgraded clutches and input shaft. Car is getting some work done right now cause I had to upgrade the fuel pumps and injectors for new Turbo so I'm running out of money lol but its coming for sure so I will keep u posted but I'm definitely doing it!

Get back to us when you're done. Ju's sayin'. ;)
