Hack a GN / TR

This guy is a member here, don’t recall his screen name off hand. However, this is actually an N/A Regal that he converted to LS and made it to look like a G/N. Not sure if it was a roll over, or why they decided to make it a convertible, exactly? However, if I remember correctly him and his dad did all of the work (making it convertible) themselves. So, it’s really a tribute car.

The guy was pretty cool about it all when introducing himself. Cause some folks were complaining about the top, and even more about the LS. However, if you have lemons and you make lemonade. Then, it’s kind of hard to fault a cat for that, right?

Gosh, I wish he would let everyone know the story. Thanks for letting me know.

No sweat! Iirc, he had a series of videos out on the car? So, I’m not sure which one this is in that series? However, I know that he and his dad were the ones doing the convertible. And I don’t know about you, however, it takes mad skills (or far more than I have anyways) to do that!

Either way, the owner was pretty cool about the whole thing! In that, we all tend to be down on any sort of LS in our cars, you know? And yet, he understood and took that in stride.

And some folks were kind of down on the convertible too. However, like I said he was cool about it all. So, he’s got to be a pretty cool cat (to work that hard on something) and not get too defensive, right? And really for what it was originally, to what it is now? You gotta give the guy props! Because he took a future Coke Can, or Axle Shaft (the crusher) and turned it into a decent looking ride.

I wouldn’t feel too bad (if I were you though) if your first instinct was somewhat negative? In that, it’s very easy for all of us to get “offended” about changing the least little thing on our cars! As the formula works and it’s way too cool! However, what this cat did pays homage to our cars. And even if it doesn’t have the Turbo 6, at least it should be somewhat fast (and hopefully it stomps some others out there), so as to live up to the image it represents? And I’m pretty sure the member who built this car knew that, at least that’s the impression I got anyways??
