May have access to a laser machine, that would be available for custom work.
NE1 that may want such done, LMK.
This is in the planning stage, and we are testing the hotrod world, to see if the investment is worthy of consideration....

Thots? Ideas?

And what about raw material availability ? The laser cutting world is competitive and seems like you need to have access to a cheap source of raw material to be competitive. For example, I have a lot a laser cutting done by a metal supply house and from what I see the end product cost about the same as what I could buy the raw material for from Mcmaster Carr.
AG.

A good bit of what would be volume, is used in house. Outside, specialty, one time runs, etc, is a plus.
We have a source for matls, that is very competitive.
we are doing a cost/benefit comparo, now.

Would you be able to do larger things like cylinder heads, intake manifolds, exhaust manifolds, intercooler piping?

What about smaller things like fuel rails, intake spacers, valvecovers, turbo compressor and turbine housing covers?

Would we need to supply you with a CAD or PDF drawing of what we want engraved, with the size and font type (If applicable) for each piece requested?

Are you able to store the design/program for our pieces we have done so that the next time we order a batch from you, you already have the program and don't have to spend time generating it again? If so, Would this reduce costs after the first production run?

On typical items, what would the lead time be, and could we have items drop-shipped to you that customers would want engraved and then once your work is finished, you ship them to the customer?

What is the largest size area you are able to do? 8"x8", 12"x12"?

Do you have a sample of any of the work done by the machine you are using?

My apologies for all the questions, it is just that I have been looking for some time for someone to be able to do custom work like that at a reasonable price. I live in California in the SF Bay Area, and all the CNC shops around here are used to doing work for Silicon Valley, so their pricing is astronomical.

If your pricing is reasonable I could easily see having a LOT of customers get certain parts customized.

Thank you for your time, and I apologize if my questions are bothersome....I'm really excited about the opportunity to have things customized for *hopefully* an affordable price!
