Types of Ignition Systems

I want to know all the ignition systems that work with 86/87's without distributor.
I know of the tr-6 and stock.
Which, if any of others, are the better?

I have a TR-6 , Did searches to find other options and I couldnt get a straight answer.
Now days there are many electronic options.
I was hoping more then 2 for us.

No, Ive had the board replaced once and now its doing the same thing it was before.
Not trying to bash anybody here, just looking for other choices .

you can go with a msd setup with a disturber

Me too. Probably 20+ years on a $10 module and coils from the u-pick-it yard.

The stock ignition has gone mid 10's with regularity with E85 ... NO issues at all ... this is from personal experience on MANY Turbo Buicks

I know of cars that are running in the 9's ( LOW 9's) on stock ignitions with no issues or break ups

Sure you need a TR6 ?
