Gnx reproduction dash

No it is a reproduction ,calibrated by GN restoration. The LED Lights come from Superbrite lite company. I can't remember the correct part # but don't think it was LED #194 . I got the the invoice put up somewhere in the house, I can see if I can find it if you are interested in buying some bulbs. I do remember one thing there not cheap !!!!

Does anyone know how does the one made by GN restoration compare to the one made by World of motorworks

I just looked on there website and there selling now for $2250 and their out of stock right now
Bought mine over a year go, so still good price, can you do me a favor and check the bulb number for the speedo and tach? I want to switch leds and post pic after your install

Well worth it if they look like yours! I thought it was an oem cluster because you have the turbo gauge with orange and green very hard to find

Just finished my pre wired gnx dash install. Everything went right in as it was suppose to. Two problems turn signal indicators are blue (GN restoration must have installed blue pre wired leds) and for some reason boost gauge not working. Talking with Russ right now to correct problems.

Ok talking with Russ I forgot to hook up boost gauge. I thought it was wired in like the original. What size hose did you use for the boost gauge and where did you splice it in at in the engine compartment

Here the link I purchase my bulbs about three years ago, as mention above if you want the speedo gauge brighter you will have to paint the
inside gauge housing white. The bulbs I install are the {Cool 6100k ] if you want a dimmer white look at the { Warm 2700k }.

I bought a boost gauge kit from autozone for like 5 bucks, and I believe its connected to the map sensor. Previous owner from 2002 had a boost gauge I just used pre existing. I bought the stewart warner gauge kit, but was the same as the Az one so I retuned it, and my turn signals are blue as well, and I have a very dim service light on, I assume it stays that way to bypass the alternator/battery light issue these cars have.
my scanmaster shows no errors

Without painting the inside white, you get DIM light :( ai dont want to take it all apart so Ill live with the dim light, i dont drive my GN at night.., to much attention...

In addition to painting the inside surface of the speedo housing white, why not drill a hole for a 2nd light bulb?
I've heard of this being done before as well. This will improve illumination immensely.
I had this done to a replacement VDO mechanical speedo by North Hollywood Speedo & Clock when they put the VDO speedo together for me. They also rebuild SW gauges too.
Unfortunately it's still sitting on a shelf in my garage so I can't comment on its effectiveness. It will be going in this winter though.

I'm going to buy the boost gauge kit and I also ordered a few yellow silicone bulb covers. I'll let you know if it works. I'm a little disappointed with these issues. For $1900 it should be perfect

If it makes you feel any better, the original factory GNX Dash with SW gauges had the same issues with lack of illumination with the speedo....so you're not alone.

great thank you!!

You can correct this error with a different gear in your speedo drive in the transmission.
