Wiring in dimmer switch for TR6 - 2step

Wrapping up the thread.
Install a button onto the brake pedal just off to the left side w 12v on one terminal and the TR6 orange wire onto the other terminal.
Then install a potentiometer/dial onto the dash/wherevers best w the TR6 gray wire onto one of the outside terminals and a GND wire to the center terminal of the dial.

Finally done w everything! Soldered all connections and went the extra mile installing weather pack connectors to make everything plugnplay. Got the switch and dial in for the 2step and installed the XFI.

Thanks to all for the help to get me here! Hopefully now this thread will be helpful to others to come.

For the 2step to work w the dial installed all TRIG dip switches need to be set OFF and the CFG 4 ON.
If using waste spark MODE 4 ON.

So if I just want to run the 2 step without a dial I just run the orange wire to a 12v switch?

And what are all the Conf switchs do?

Here is a video I did .you would wire up the switch likeits states u would hook up a msd pill .

OK so now how to work it ? With the trigger switch on the brake pedal and Dial hooked up. Anyone?

Yes trigger/button on the brake pedal and dial mounted wherever works best for you. I mounted my dial under the dash. Just reach Down and turn to adjust max RPM.

So one side of the potentiometer goes to a good ground then the gray wire from the TR6 connects to the potentiometer aswell . Then Bam when you apply 12vdc to the orange wire key on motor off you should see the rpm gauge move as you move the dial . Configure 2 has to be on and all the dip switches for the trigger rpm should be switched to 0 aswell

Config 1 - pullup for pulse input on pin5, (not used)
Config 2 - pullup for pulse input on pin6 (not used)
Config 3 - pullup for trigger input on pin 1 (orange wire), for 2-step trigger
Config 4 - pullup for analog input on pin 3 (gray wire) for analog 2-step setting

They are all "pullup" circuits, and provide a voltage source to the inputs, so you can activate the input with a "ground"

Also, that section in the manual is wrong and I need to update it with the info above.
