Looking to buy a set of 42# injectors. Was hoping to buy them from Eric, but his website shows them out of stock.
I've sent him an email asking about an ETA, but have not heard back.

Where else can i get them ?

Why 42's ? Unless your future plans don't include switching to E85, I would look at 60# at a minimum. Of course, you'll need a chip for your combo.

Get 60's ., if you need a set i can get u a set., 42's are old school

42's because i have to have the car pass CA. smog. The 42's are the the same large body as the OEM so they at least "look stock" Need that for the visual part of the inspection.
Also, because 60's will be way overkill. It's just a street car, no plans for E85, and even if i do i worry about it then. I want to tune for my existing plans, not "could be - future"
42's should support all the boost i need.

42's suck compared to 60's

Are you telling me that they wont
Pass emissions because they dont look the same???

I gaurantee the 60's will produce less emissions and run cleaner and have far better idle characteristics as well as driveabilty than a 42

Your going backwards here

Yes. Part of the test is visual. You must have all of the stock components on the car.

check out Racetronix, That's where I got mine, They also sell them flow-matched, so they been tested and spray equally.

There's a used set with a TT chip for sale in the parts 4 sale section. Might be worth inquiring about

I would buy new. Yes they test them with a machine...But actually Eric at turbobuick mention to me before because that was the first place I went too and he was sold out(awhile ago)...The 42lb's come already flowed-matched 2 to 4% of each other anyway, I think. Not the 60's or higher. But if he's sold out and you need them right now try Racetronix 01D030x. buy them in 6 pack flow-matched.

Do they actually do a sniffer test.. cause the 42's will be alot dirtier than 60's at idle

Why would they be dirtier ? (i don't mean this to be rude)- But how would you know that if you are in a state that doesn't do sniff tests ?

Because they do not react the same way flow wise .. the dynamics of the injector itself isn't the same .. Because I indirectly did work for the EPA on E85 studies and spent a lot of time actually doing flow tests on many types of injectors.. and I can tell you that injector your looking at is OLD SCHOOL ..

But Don't take my word for it ... go buy both sets and see for yourself which is cleaner at idle .. which has better throttle response, which is more linear in flow, which has better drivability in general and which injectors TUNERS Prefer... None are going to pick a old 42 over a New Siemens 60 or Siemens 80

Thank you for that info. That carries a lot more weight than what i was hearing,..... which is the common "buy the 60's"

I wish i could contact Eric like in the old days.... hmmmm........

to be 100% honest... I have no clue why vendors even carry 42's .. for that matter even 80's work extremely well in daily drivers ... the new stuff is just that much better ...
if you really want to step up the game the ID line of injectors are that much more refined .. but for your needs are way over kill

Siemens 60's and 80's are dime a dozen nowdays

Tori, I have a cleaned and flowed set of 50s, guaranteed good, looks just like stock style injectors with a turbotweak 5.7 chip. Let me know if interested. I personally still do 42s on some customers cars, and don't like the looks of the 60s and 80s for stock appearing cars. Customer went from these 50s to new 60 and can't see a bit of difference at idle or how it runs besides just a little more fuel.

Will you vouch for them passing the sniffer test :) .. this is where the 60's will separate themselves

I have never seen a good, clean, proper working injector cause a fail on emission test. When clogged or stuck partially open then yes any injector can be problems. The chip and tune have more to do with it than the actual injector. I will vouch for them, yes, with a money back guarantee. But you may have to get the TT emission chip for them.

Tori, If you want a set of 36# injectors, I will gladly send them to you, they look stock.
