ISAC 2.0

Maybe far fetched but, when ethanol content drops alky is increased by the controller depending on ethanol content %?

SGRIM/Bob, what does the interest level have to be to make a run?

thats an interesting idea, but is a little more complex.

1, if ethanol content in the fuel is dropping, how is the ECM compensating? real-time or would you retune manually?
2, same question relative to boost control.
3, how would we know the ethanol content is dropping? connect the fuel composition sensor to the ISAC?
4, we would want to define what should happen, but in the case of the fuel changing I'd rather be alerted and have the boost drop
than the controllers try to compensate.

So, if we can define a strategy, darn near anything is possible.

thats going to depend on whether we are going to make any changes to the unit, or just "whip up" another batch... :)

I'm interested. I had a ISAC and didn't put it on the car and regret it.

Good point.
In my case SD2 can control boost, analyze and adjust parameters depending on ethanol content.
So, to my original post it would be to get the alky controller to work in conjunction with those functions of the SD2/Powerlogger.
Someone that does not have SD2 may want the ISAC to to have those capabilities.

I see your point in #4.

Man this is a very interesting option here! I'd definitely have some interest.

Id love to see another run of these. I thought when the ISAC came out demand was going to be huge. Every person that saw it or used one loved it but I just dont think the community was ready for it at the time.

Mobile app configuring would be kind of cool but would require Bluetooth or NFC.

Ive looked at a lot of the whiz bang controllers on the market today and most of them still dont do what the ISAC can do and the ones that can look like they took the feature list from the ISAC promo material. Id love to spice it up some more.. just need ideas.

I am really looking forward to getting one of these. I would much rather be able to set the gasoline, and then be able to fine tune the alky. Being able to develop a ratio of gas to alky and maintain it through the rpm range and boost range with an alky controller would be really cool. If I new 5 years ago what I know now, I would have an ISAC.

I asked about it a bunch of times for a long time and got nothing but crickets.

Sorry if you messaged me and didn't get a response. I've been on an extended hiatus and kind of still am. I've been doing the updates, etc but I rarely post and don't really check private message.

This is getting ready to go people. Get your name in now and any updates you may like to see!

Thanks. One more question--will this be plug and play or involve wire splicing like the original ISAC?
