Switching TSA to a new class TTS

If this is the goal how about just a turbo limit and weight limit everything else fair game.inmo most street gns also weigh a lot more with driver and the minimum weight should be brought up to around 3650 to 3700lbs.these cars don't go anywhere without the turbo

Agreed!!

There was some thought put in about a class with very few rules, such as 3600/3650 lbs, drag radial, and a 58 or 59 turbo. However, then questions arise about how many cars still have that small of a turbo that would be dedicated or willing to compete a couple times a year.

If I were building a customers car to be competitive the 62mm turbo would be considered entry, a 67 would be considered next.

I have found out most street cars will not be dedicated to race, but a racer will go out of his way to show up and compete. Therefore, the mutual decision was made to write the TTS rules as they are.

For the people that continue to talk about index racing, please feel free to contact the GSCA, volunteer to work the event for free, dedicate yourself to become a target for others to gripe at, and build a index class.

TTS is a heads up, pro tree class.

So... are the rules back open for discussion or are we just expressing opinions here?

Questions/comments/suggestions posted are not gripes just because they don't align with a particular thinking. Volunteer = free, regardless of dictionary you choose for definition and I expect that a RRA understands that before accepting the position. Rule changes/class development and responsible RRA should not be offended by differences of opinion (a.k.a. gripe), rather open to, and all opinions considered.

Sounds like fishing might be a more enjoyable hobby.

Did I mention Index racing?

I think a few times. To the best of my knowledge the NC race (turbobuick.com race) still has index racing so anybody who wants to do it just needs to show up. On a side note next time I am your way I would like to drop in and check out your ride.

Just as rules that are written and posted are never going to satisfy every potential participant. Whether there are 5 rules or 50 rules, there is always going to be someone that is not happy or someone that thinks differently. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it is what it is. Our differences are what makes our character. Thank God some are better than others.

Please look me up when you are running in TTS. I would love to share racing experiences with you. I will be the one in the black car....
