I still have the original 2004r (140,000) in the car now and now under WOT the trans will stick at about 4k rpm in first gear for about a second and then procede to go to 5k and then shift normally.. Still very drivable under normal driving. Anybody have a diagnosis for this? Already planning on a rebuild, thanks!

Stop going wot or you will create new and expensive problems.i would highly recommend Dave husek for the 200 rebuild.
 
try unplugging the black 4prong on side of the tranny and see if that changes the shifting.
