ANYBODY USE THESE LED HEADLITES?

I want to get rid of my yellow hologen headlights and convert to a white headlight. I found these on Ebay. I'm not interested in spending more and I just want to be able to plug them in and not have to bother wiring in ballasts or relays. It appears these just plug into the factory receptacles. Also, I want only those which appear as stock. Square, not oval as many of them are. In fact, these are the only ones I found that don't appear to be ovalled behind the lense. Any thoughts or input?

I, too, have been looking at similar headlites,
I do not want the "projector" or "halo" type.
want something orig looking, yet brighter. or better illumination.
and do NOT want $500 headights! (HID)

I feel the same way halos are just another thing to go bad. I wouldn't mind projectors as long as the light output is much better

I see people putting these bright bulbs in non-projector lenses and it just sprays light everywhere and is blinding to oncoming drivers.

A friend had some similar lights (different brand, H4) along with some Hella housings in his Pontiac Parisian (same lights as the GN).
He said they had a good light pattern, were brighter and much easier to see with than stock halogen lights.
The light pattern may depend on the housing used.
You can field test them to see how long they last in the real world.

PnP LED's seem well suited for 4x6 reflector housings, but not for projector housings.
This style of light doesn't put out light from the end of the bulb and leaves a slightly dark spot on the road at the top of the low beam where you need it when used in projector lights (2013 Explorer 9005 bulb). HID's still seem to be the better choice for projectors at the moment.

Just my findings.

Added the 4x6 housing part.

Here's a true plug n play LED projector headlight in a 4"x6". No relays or extra fuses required. Total installation time was maybe 1/2 hour?
Lighting output is out of this world. I actually look forward to night driving now! LOL
Just a little pricey, but well worth it in my opinion.

JW Speaker is the manufacturer

Wow $250/bulb! They do look nice though. They are sold on eBay and Amazon. Discover gives 5% back on Amazon this quarter, if that helps.

Pricey, yes, but JW Speaker make some excellent lighting. Nothing else really compares.

I have seen those JW lights also, I think Scott at GNS had done an install in the recent past. There's no doubt those are nice, just don't know that I "want" to afford them, but there's one thing I do know... MY HEADLIGHTS SUCK !

I have Sylvania Silverstars. People liked them here a few years ago. I think they are pretty good.

Here's a few pics showing part numbers and beam pattern.
I'll dig up some pictures of these installed & post up a couple more shots of the light output

WOW lol that's expensive I thought 250 for the pair was expensive but that's for each individual light. So just for the complete set of low and high beam it's just over $1000.00

YUP,
As an alternative, you could just purchase the JW Speaker low beams and install some Hella E code 4"x6" H1's for your high beams. Install some 100 watt bulbs and you'll be less money. You'd still need an upgraded wiring harness with fuses and relay for the High Beams though.
Kirbans' headlight upgrade harness would work nicely . The H1's will be less $ than the JW Speaker LED high beams, but not by a lot after you add in the wiring harness, (I'd guess the Hella H1's + 100 watt bulbs & upgraded wiring harness is still gonna set you back at least $375).

Does a volt booster affect them?

The advert from the OP says operating range "dc8v- 18v".

8- 18 volts DC, so they should be fine.
Some that I have say 9- 30 volts, I could run a volt booster super extreme on that suv. Lol
