Can someone check on Charlie?

Charlie brought me here a few years back from another site. His wealth of knowledge of all turbo Buicks was unsurpassed to say the least. He was always willing to help me out with my car and the occasional firewood. I will truly miss him. The question of what will happen to the massive amount of Buick stuff lingers in my mind. I would like to have just a bolt so his spirit would live on my Turbo Buick. RIP my brother.

Rest in peace charlie.

Didn't Charlie have a 82 gn he was in process of restoring? He loved ha cars and was very knowledgeable of them.
I would gladly help to finish it any way I could,in his memory
Yes he did and I doubt he finished his prize project. It's been a couple years since I've been down there though. I would like to see it finished and remain here in the lone star state.

It's so sad when someone doesn't realize how important they are and the difference they make in people's lives.
My condolences to Charlie's friends and family. He will always be missed.

Hello everyone, this is Greg. I have finally got a chance to read this thread....

Please keep us posted on funeral arrangements. TB3 and I will be coming from the St Louis area if anyone wants to caravan down to Texas together. I know its probably too soon, but someone mentioned a GoFund me account... maybe the sooner the better to help with funeral costs. We all want to help and give back to Charlie. Thanks

I wish W. Ga was closer to St. Louis.

That sounds like a worthwhile roadtrip.

I just found out about this !!!
I have not been very active on the board for awhile, my loss .
Extremely sad to hear this news. I never had the chance to meet him ...
He was truly one of a kind in his willingness to help out anyone ! You will be missed Charlie
RIP

Bryan

Here's a cool write up on Charlie helping out the Edmund's long term project Buick Grand National back in June 2013 with a road trip repair. The staff writer driving the GN described Charlie as " the nicest person I'll meet the whole time I'm in Texas"

Think it's the fifth write up down.

Horrible news:(. What a great loss to the buick community. Charlie was always quick to help me when I first got into my b4b basket case and he was willing to walk me through things slowly without judgment. Without him I think I would have walked away from the hobby long ago. You'll be truly missed. RIP Charlie. :(

The 82 will be finished if I have anything to do with it! Trust me it is gonna happen me and Charlie spent many many hours talking about what way to go with the car.

That was awesome, thank you!

RIP Charlie, so sad to hear this news. He was always there to answer any questions that I had if I ran into any problems with the GN.

Typical Charlie, he also had a car like this in the back field he wanted to restore.

If I can make it I'll have to fly in to Dallas/Fort Worth.

Wow , just seen this and I'm also shocked and saddened. I've talked to him on multiple occasions and on different things. I remember him being sad a few times cause he didn't have the money to fix his cars. He was always a good guy. Seen him at the Texas Buick nats a couple years ago . He always had a swarm of people around him. He was very popular and I know he will be missed. A true pillar on this board. Hope he's driving a gnx were he is now.rip
