I have no clue. I'm just a picture collector.

The last sage car I saw was the Reggie Jackson car years ago when someone in the NEBRA club had it. Very unusual and cool. Don't know where that one is now.

I'm just seeing this now Phil. I didn't end up taking the sage car down for the show. I raced a friends car I took down. I also wrenched on, tuned and raced Kevin Broadwater's car in TSM for him.

Imma copy some of the parts from this build. IM EXCITED

That's exactly why I did that build. Welcome to the board. Have fun and enjoy your build!:)

The top car is a V8 n/a car made to look like a Turbo T. The bottom pict is my car from BG in '05

Reggie never had a Sage car. He had a dark blue with saddle leather interior car. It is owned by member Jason Maxfield who goes by the name reggie44 on the board.

My bad, after seeing the Reggie car, yes that's the one that was at the NEBRA meet at least 10 years ago. I got it confused with another car. Sorry.

I just stumbled across this thread and I'm so impressed how easily mid 12's were achieved. Goes to show how good these cars were out of the box but also what can be accomplished with an intelligent plan. I think you have done everyone a huge service and my hat is off to you.

Awesome read. Did anyone else think to there selves what the heck is wrong with my car. Lol . Awesome results , going to print this out and give it to a co- worker who brags about how fast the new 5.0s are with little done.

Good call. I've seen a stock boss 302 run high 11's with just dr's. That's pretty quick and they probably get good mileage to boot.

He's running 11:70's with boss intake, tune, exhaust,CAI,some suspension work and slicks. His is a manual I hear a good Auto with convertor are even faster. Definitely impressive, the difference between me and him is I'm a car guy and like different kinds he is mustang only and doesn't even want to talk or hear about any other car. That's why I have to print it out, I'm going to write cool mustang article on it and he willing read it. If I tried to tell him he would cut in and say there is a Mustang that............ We call stang owners Me Too's. You have a mustang, yeah me to.

Another bump for a great thread☺
ABS-FRAKING-LUTELY!!! Can't understand why hasn't someone made this a sticky?? As I remember excitedly following this thread (like I was a kid waiting to watch cartoons on Saturday Morning)! Actually there are a few threads around like this that ought to be made in to stickys, however, this one in particular needs to be stuck somewhere prominent! At least in my opinion anyways!

I agree. It should be in tech as a sticky. Show me another thread that's more inspirational and informative to a new owner.

He made no claims that it would live at that power level but did demonstrate what the bare essentials are to go fast.

Says a lot about his character too that he didn't use this to promote his shop in every post that he could possibly bring it up in.

You’re exactly right! And that’s thing, the really good ones on here, don’t seem to toot their own horns at all! Which is probably good a thing, since we have so many others (who seemingly can’t wait to toot away)! Whereas the ones who really kick but, simply let their track record speak for itself! No better testament to that than this thread though, right??

We are a very fortunate community to have so many fast guys who are so willing to help others get there too! Isn’t it funny how even the ones with shops (who are in the know) are always preaching about how it doesn’t take as much to go fast? Even they could easily profit from up-selling you to the latest fad super duper, ball bearing, water cooled, bifurcated turbo with titanium wheel? And yet, they instead go to extreme measures to show us that there are better ways, don’t they?

That (to me) is a beautiful thing! And anyone caught doing such should be acknowledged and rewarded!

I remember reading this thread. Those of us putting cars together just to get them back on the road again was an inspiration.
