Hey fellas,

I know that a lot of you are still brokenhearted over the recent loss of the only magazine that actually recognized the Turbo Buick faithful, GMHTP, and I don't blame you. Not only was I a 15-year long reader and subscriber of the rag myself, but I was its final Editor; sitting in the hot seat for the final year of production. As some of you may know, I was with a relatively popular digital magazine company for three years before that.

(Get the whole back story on the GMHTP shutdown here: http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/threads/end-of-an-era.412575/)

Since that time I've been creating a replacement (of sorts), for not just the A-typical LS crowd but for enthusiasts like us, who cherish EFI Buicks, and other forms of fuel-injected GM vehicles.

The magazine is simply called GM EFI.

It's name is direct, short, simple, and to the point. It tells you exactly what the magazine is, and we won't have to worry about getting questioned on "how a thirty year-old Buick is considered high-tech," or how a 4th-gen Camaro that runs 9s all-motor isn't "high-tech enough."

Although we will largely cover the same type of content you found in GMHTP, you can expect a bit more diversity from GM EFI. We love LS motors. We love Camaros. We even love how hugely popular the two of them are, especially together. But variety is the spice of life, and it holds true for a GM magazine geared towards the GM enthusiast, not just to somebody who only likes one type of engine or vehicle platform.

GM EFI is a magazine for not only those who take racing and building cars seriously, but for those who are truly passionate about the EFI performance engines and vehicles that The General has been rolling out since the mid-80s. Everything from Turbo Buicks to the 2015 Corvette Z06 will be covered.

Everything. Equally.

We'll cover tech articles you care about, an eclectic array of unusual/interesting car feature stories, racing events and car shows, industry news, trade shows (SEMA, PRI, et al.), new product features, and we'll be hosting our own videos, too!

There's something else that you should probably know - it's strictly digital. It won't be found in stores, and no, it's not going to be a "tangible" magazine that you can hold in your hands. But it will be on your smartphone, desktop, laptop, tablet, and basically anywhere you can access the internet.

So while you won't have old back issues to gather, collect dust, and take up valuable space in your workshop or garage, you'll be able to access GM EFI content from anywhere, at any time! Oh, and it's absolutely 100% F-R-E-E for our readers to read and subscribe to!

Plus, since we're digital, you'll see new content DAILY from GM EFI, rather than once a month or every six weeks or so (GMHTP was 9 issues/year). No costly subs to renew, no outdated "news," and no discontinuing of the brand (and getting it replaced by something you're not interested in). No more flipping passed pages of ads to continue reading, the Editor won't have to worry about cutting articles short or bumping stories to the next issue because of page count or ad space - you'll get to read the articles, at length, in their full-entirety as you are meant to!

You'll be able to access our site at www.gm-efi.com soon enough (although our "under construction" beta version can already be seen), and you can head over to our Facebook and Twitter pages at:

Don't forget to LIKE/FOLLOW and tell your friends. If you have any questions or comments, fire away!

Thats good news, I am a stickler for a hand held magazine but will definetly check it out! I talked to you about before hopefully we can get more 3800 coverage too. Hopefully my 3800 Turbo t will end up there;) soon.

i liked you guys on fb not even knowing it was something you were involved in. why did i like it bc ypu had gns lol. glad the torch has started again and being carried over. An idea is about hybrids/half breeds. ls motors are the rage. guys are putting them in fox bodies rx7s anything they can. maybe a section can be dedicated to guys that are doing these custom swaps.

There's definitely a chance of that happening! ;)

Duly noted. If you're unaware of the LS-swap craze by now, you've been living in a cave for the last 10 years...

Having said that, I don't want to get this publication stereotyped into being an LS-based magazine/website - there are already other publications like that catering to the market.

GM EFI is about the cars themselves as much as it is the engines that power them. We'll cover LS-swaps into older GM vehicles religiously (already have a few of those types of articles in the pipeline), and we might do a few special segments on LS-swapped RX7s, Nissan 240s, Mustangs, etc.

But largely, it'll be GM-on-GM action, all of the time...

Looking forward to the LAUNCH of a publication for enthusiasts by an enthusiast, where your hands aren't tied and the same O same O stuff is covered.

If you make it out to any shows with your Gn . I'm sure there's a bunch of guys including myself. that would stop in to chat.

Thanks for the support! This isn't a one-man show, either. Many of my friends/former colleagues, all of whom are well-respected professionals in the industry, have stepped up to the plate and will be shooting and writing content for GM EFI.

But you did nail it on the head in regards to the magazine being a publication for enthusiasts, by enthusiasts. ;)

For sure! I'll be at LS Fest this weekend, but I'm game anytime after that... :)

Hey all,

With the recent demise of a very popular print publication, solely dedicated to late-model GM vehicles and engines, a replacement has finally emerged!

That magazine is called GM EFI, and while it will directly cater to the very same market that the now defunct publication had, it will feature an entirely different look, style, and theme. GM EFI will be a completely modern magazine, not only in terms of content, but in respect to the fact that it's going to be exclusively digital.

I get it, some of you will still miss the "tangibility" of print. But with the fate of print already on the wall (at least in my opinion), it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense for the [brand new] GM EFI team to invest is an aging form of technology. So you'll get all of the same hard-hitting content you loved in print mags, but with a much quicker turn around time, no subscription fees, and fresh content daily!

Starting October 1st, you'll be able to head over to gm-efi.com and read some of our very first stories regarding the kind of tech that you're looking for.

While our YouTube channel isn't ready to launch yet, our social media sites are up and running, waiting for you to Like and Follow!

Thanks again for all of your support, fellas! I have my work cut out for me, and we'll definitely have some growing pains, but I need to follow my passion! :)

Rick,
Can't wait for the launch. I once said that if you were crazy enough to do it, I was crazy enough to support it. Thanks for letting me get in on the ground floor, with a great deal on some add space.

For any vendors seeing this. I have already got enough orders through the GM EFI facebook site so pay for half of the six month add I just signed up for. What I find interesting is that this mag hasn't even launched yet...

I'm kinda scared...:eek::D

Shane,
Rick's a great guy. Even though technically, he's from The So Western Section, he can still be trusted.;) Work out a deal where Rick lists TB.com on his mag and you list him here. No money would need to change hands. You guys would each just owe me a cold beer for brokering the deal.:D

Whoa, whoa, whoa...!!!

What's all this talk about not exchanging money?? ;)

All joking aside, I'm definitely willing and able to give special deals to Turbo Buick vendors and suppliers. I've reached out to many already, and have created quite a buzz. While I'm not at liberty to talk about any potential deals brewing right now, my door is always open and I have my phone with me 24/7 for those of you who are interested in potentially doing business together.

You can email me at rick.seitz@gm-efi.com, or you can call/text me directly, anytime, at (832) 980-9887.

Thanks again for the support, Mike!

*P.S., I'm originally from Ohio... lol ;)
