Hey guys,

Here is my best run from yesterday's autox at Texas Motor Speedway. I took second in my class behind a Mustang on slicks. He only got me by 2.5 seconds, but I beat a bunch of Z06's and other cars that really should have smoked me. The car's hooking real good and cornering better than ever!

Enjoy!

Mike

Heck yeah, good stuff and way to represent TR's. Nicely done :D

Another nice showing Mike, Keep it up!! (y)

Mark,

Once you do it a couple times you get the hang of it pretty well..... The cones laying down indicate (point) where to turn..

Thanks guys! The suspension is mostly stock believe it or not. I've got all of the frame braces, under hood braces and back seat brace. Ride Tech Single Adjustable coil overs and that's it! All control arms are stock (and original) and it's still got the original bushings as well. Those will be getting replaced soon hopefully. As for tires I'm using BFG Rivals which are awesome tires but I've got a tiny tire for the car as I'm still running stock 84-85 T Type wheels! Even with the car under tired it still hooks and corners awesome.

The biggest thing I've done besides the coil overs is I got a proper autox alignment and got the car corner balanced, that changed everything. The car turns in so hard now and just sticks in corners, it's amazing!

I can't wait to get the rest of the suspension built (as money permits) but it's impressive what these cars can do with just a bit of set up!

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Mark,

Like Scot said, it's not too bad once you get out there. You would typically walk the course a few times to see where it goes, and most big lots are clearly marked to show you where to go.

But be warned, once you try it you will probably be hooked!
