RTTH 2013 Pro-Touring Event

Great driving, Scot!
Thanks! For the life of me I couldn't get out of the 52 second times. My lowest time was 52.015 which is right there mid pack or even better. There were 80 cars there and I qualified for the King of The Hill shootout and that was the top 30 cars! The fastest time was 45 sec and that car was a roadrace prepped newer Corvette.

I am happy with beating 50 cars with my Brick! :D

I am plenty happy with my times as I just go to have fun and get more seat time..and it's neat being the Only G-body there and seeing the look on peoples faces when they hear the turbo...

Here are some more photo's.... Clearly this isn't your typical SCCA local autocross event with honda's and crap...There were 80 cars entered in this event and since we placed in the Top 30 shootout that means we beat out 50 cars or more to get there. I am very happy how the GNS Test Car performed..

Here are the Top 30 Shootout cars:

Awesome pics and video Scot! I agree, I want to see the GoPro video too! They can be a pain sometimes to work with. Car looks awesome as usual!

I am working on the youtube pics as we speak! They are a real pita to work with and editing them is a whole other ballgame...

They will be on my youtube page by tomorrow. In the mean time check out my other videos I have on there. I have a ton from previous events and even some of Scot at RTTH 7.

Okay guy's, Doug has just finished the grueling task of editing my (On car) youtube videos that were taken the day of the event. I filled up a 16 GB memory card so there was a lot to edit.... I borrowed this camera from a friend and it didn't come with a suction cup so unfortunately all video was taken from the same spot....

Video's are best seen at 1080p and wide screen!

Scot,
The autocross course really works the turbo wastegate, doesn't it? Have you thought about a BG blow-off valve?

Yes we have talked about it a bit.... I was actually going to go with a whole new turbo that isn't known in the Buick community which would make a world of difference but I am selling this car and moving onto a new project..... One thing to think of, All of the top cars who win at the pro-touring autocross events and Optima Ultimate Street car Invitational Do Not run turbo's! ;)

Well, you cannot get there with normally aspired V6 so sounds like you are going LS huh?
Conrad

Our next project will definitely be a LS platform!

Scot...I can almost guarantee that if you show up to an OUSCI qualifyer event with your T Type then you will get an invite.

Having gone to the 2012 OUSCI and a couple OUSCI Qualifyer events...I know first hand that they look for the cars that are different and that would look good on the TV show. Your car is fast, clean, beautiful, known and has a killer sound. I am certain that if you show up to a couple evens, show your face and race the crap out of that car you will get an invite.

RTTH events are OUSCI qualifier events and have competed in 8 out of the 9 years they have been around... maybe its Bill ?

The last three RTTH's have not been qualifyer events b/c there is no road course involved. RTTS was both years b/c it was an autox, speed/stop and a road course.

I knew at one time the RTTH events were OUSCI qualifier events cause they mentioned it all the time, they must have changed it in the last year or two.
