Ive been to the track a few times and this is the best time i've ran with the current mods in my sig. Minus the Alky which i didnt have at the time.

This was at 21#. 5gals of 100 and 10gal of 93. No knock at all. Around 5# of boost off the line. I need to build more boost but my brakes are holding me back, they are next on my list. The kit from Gbodyparts for the rear. Hopefully i can run into the 12s with the alky and boost at 25#. Sorry no logs (no powerlogger :( but soon) but my scanmaster was reading high 700 low 800 O2s for each run in 3rd. I did hit 13.1 at 107 the next run. I cant wait to get back and run with the ALKY!!!!

My goal is to have a high 11 and low 12s car, on a budget. Looking for ideas for my next mods to get me there. Any help and suggestions are welcome. Thanks

Some sticky tires and a harder launch and you are in the twelves. Getting the 60' into the low 1.7s should get you there.
Mid elevens, well reducing unsprung weight with some pizza cutters and tires up front, loosing the sway bar in front and the addition of an hr rear bar should help it too.

Big boost and good fuel gets it to the high elevens, with the above stuff. Turbo, injectors, ported heads, and such could go to the next step .

He's got good tires. Dump the snubber. Launch harder.

Maybe some play and practice launching, different (higher/lower psi in tires), something needed to get 60' down or is the track not prepped?

Is the snubber really needed? It know its supposed to help get traction but how much is it really doing for me? It was on the car when i bought it. After 5# the car starts creeping and starting to break the tires loose.

I havent set the the tire pressure down yet as i didnt have a guage nor did i have a wy to pump it back up, next time i go in a couple weeks i will. Probably set it around 20psi.

Just b/f you stage, put it in neutral and rev it up a couple of times to build up the vacuum in the booster. Stand on the brakes hard.

havent tried that yet, i double pump them when i stage on the 2nd yellow though. i know with a good low 60ft it will hopefully run in the 12s.

Get a gauge and a small compressor that plugs into the cigarette lighter. Then you will be able to get them back to street pressure.

Like one of these.
Or a tank to carry.
Tire pressure is very adjustable.

thanks, i have one but its in my honda just forgot to bring it each time, but definetly bringing it, dropping the pressure should help.

drag radials seem to work real good@ 18lbs, thats where i had mine on the run in my sig. i was able to get 16 lbs with no brake mods. i have m&h 275/65/16. i only had a 1.6 60' on that pass. get that o2 reading closer to 750 in 3rd and that will help

More boost! It takes a lot of pressure to get a good amount of air past those tiny valves with low lift. Work your way up slowly, but don't be afraid of 30psi with that turbo. The turbine will hold you back before you ever run out of compressor but above 25psi, the gains are greater for each psi than they are below 25psi.

As stated above, dropping my tire pressure down to 18 from 20 took 1 tenth off of my 60' and 2 tenths off of my 1/4.
That 60' is killing it, I bet with a 1.7 ish 60 that's a 12.50 run. I did a little fueling adjustment, but the math works out.

This run is at 20 psi in tires and do the math regarding 60' times.

And the track I go to isn't prepped very well. These runs were probably 24 psi if I remember correctly. I'd have to check my log.

I know I want to push more boost in the future!!!! I'm at 25# right now and I'm okay with it till I run a few passes, plus I'm tryin to be safe and conservative trying to not blow a head gasket Tranny or aything else. I'm new to the tuning thing. I know if i push more boost ill have to lower the fuel going in with more alky going In. How much boost are you pushing with the 44?

Your set up on the stock brakes pushing that much boost at the line?

Okay I'm going to lower the radials to 20 then to 18 next time I go. I know this is gonna be a rhetorical question cause I know the answer but at 5# off the line lower the tire pressure will help my 60ft right?

Opposite, you add fuel when you add boost. Leave the alky alone as it's progressive so it'll add alky automatically when the boost goes up, but you'll need more gas to keep the AFR's safe. Boost won't push a HG out, KR will. The tranny may get soft though the closer you get to 11's. :D I run 22-30psi. 22psi on the street and 30+ at the track when the converter locks up and really puts a load on the motor. I'll trap 116+ at 22-25psi but I do have a cam and port matched intake otherwise stock long block. I have vacuum brakes too. There are tricks to getting them to hold, but it'll hold 10psi on the right day.

You can upgrade the rear brakes with wheel cylinders for a '85 S10 PU and buy 2 sets of shoes and only use the longer ones.

I have this set up with vacuum brakes and I can hold 15lbs at the line if I want.

Yep,stock brakes, but they are powermaster.i also have all the fuel pulled from 1st gear thru the TT chip

i want to work slowly up to 30# but the TT Alky chip is only burned for 23-25, i know its no big deal with adjustment through the chip. I had a local guy tune it for me after he installed the alky. he said it could push more boost after 25 but didnt have his right equipment and didnt want to be responsible for anything if it went wrong but he did said it would push 30psi. Im glad to hear the 44 can handle that much boost, im happy with it. I think my next engine mod will be a Cam kit. So whats the secrets to hold boost?

Ive been looking at the rear brake kit that has the longer shoes and better wheel cylinder from gbodyparts, ive read good things about it on here, so i might invest in that and a line lock.
