I'm creating flush mount quarter windows

Hey Brian, I know this is early but the body shop is wondering about prep work for the front and rear glass. Do the tabs/rivots need to be grounded off? Thanks!

Update,

I am changing the frit a little on the units that will be bolted in. I'm not crazy about the texture the primer leaves once its applied to the entire area of the frit. It will work great for those who are simply gluing the window in but for the rest that will not need such a strong chemical bond I will be using paint with the primer overtop. It gives a much cleaner look. I've eaten a set of windows testing but its ok; I allotted some for destructive testing anyway.

I PROMISE that sets will start to ship this week. I have 2 sets about complete and 3 that are near completion.

For those that have PM'ed wanting to buy sets, I am currently holding off on taking orders until these are completed and all have shipped. Once this is done I will resume taking orders to see where we are at.

I have not gotten that far yet to be honest. I will update you once we reach that point. I will say that the cost for doing the front and rear looks to be very reasonable.

Its funny that you guys ask that because I'm thinking of developing poly t's for the later gen F-Body's. Maybe something to consider!
 
I will be shipping 2 sets tonight and 5 will be completed for shipping by the weekends end. Sets that required tint can only be completed on the weekend as that is that only time my tint guy can do them.

Update,

Friday night we went to remove the protective outer film off of the glass to prepare them for shipping (and some for getting tinted) and found this - See photo. We aren't 100% sure what caused it although we think we know what happened. To get to the point it ruined 8 pieces of glass. I was able to make 1 good set out of them and that set has shipped.

We will continue forward and I have already placed a call into Optic Armor for replacements. At this point I personally am stupid upside down on this project and I'm only continuing because its the right thing to do.

LOL! I laugh to keep from crying!

Apparently one of our guys in the shop replaced a squirt bottle that's supposed to contain Alcohol for paint prep with Acetone!:rolleyes: So we addressed it but it costs us time and money. I think we can save some of the pieces but we will have to see.
 
Brian. I was on board with this since almost day one. Then when you went MIA for a while after you received money I became skeptical and opted out.
Things did seem sort of fishy for a while and I even voiced my concern to a couple of members.

Since then, all the information and supporting pictures that you've posted up have more than proven that you are a stand up guy and are trying everything that you can to make this happen.

I stand corrected.

Also. You do not deserve all the F ups that you've endured during this adventure. You just can't catch a break.

I doubt that this would be a ponzi scheme since he's paid to be a vendor on the board, and the $ really isn't that big.;) Hate to say it but this is somewhat common when you start a new product and I'm sorry about the delays but you can tell Brian is really trying to take care of the issues that have cropped up and wants to produce a quality product.:cool:
