Hi guys looking at Kirbans website, they have the color matching cup holder unit to sit on top of the existing console. Is anyone using this part? Seems insanely expensive at 120$ plus tax and shipping... Any screws involved, two way tape??

Thanks!

I have one and love it. I am an armrest kind of guy.

Mine just slides on and can be quickly removed.
Love it.

Considering other mods that are done to these cars it's quite a deal, for comfort and functionality.

Just curious, if you take the unit out is there any damage or abrasion wear? I take it you put it over the existing console? Been looking at these and will more than likely purchase one, just wanted to know if I need to place something soft under the unit. Thanks guys..

READ THIS BEFORE YOU POST PLEASE!

This section was created for those that want to show the board how to fabricate something. If you see a lot of people asking how you do something on one of these cars and you want to document it and then post the info, please do. If you've got a question on how to do something then you might try a search (it really does work now) or ask in the general section rather than this one. We've got a ton of info on the board and a great bunch of guys that are willing to help if you've got a problem.

There is NO SOLICITATION IN THIS SECTION so if you want to ask how much please don't. You can PM them if you'd like them to make you something and you're welcome to ask about how something was done or tell them how cool an item is but please don't try to get them to quote a price to you about making something for you in this section.;)

What color are you looking for? I have a dark blue one that is brand new and never used that I will make you a deal on....

Spend the money! No screws no tape slips over the stock console in 5 seconds.

Best money I've spent on my interior to date. Good quality part and TR custom is right, couldn't imagine driving without it. And in my opinion it's still easy to use the stock compartment.

I tried out the regular and "mini" version before I bought the regular one. You want the one that covers the ashtray.

Insanely Expensive...?!?!?!
Ok...build one for less. That's all I'm gonna say.

Just ran across this thread in search for a cupholder solution. I think its great TR Custom Parts offers not one, not two, but THREE different styles for the discriminating owner. That said, options stress me out so I need community opinions based on my preferences.

1) I do like (and use) storage space.

2) I don't use my ashtray enough to warrant instant access.

3) I do drive my Regal like a stick - downshifting for compression braking and 3-4 upshifting on the street to save gas when I can. Because I pull back on the T-handle frequently, I worry the front of the Full-size riser would interfere with this well-conditioned reflex.

The Mini version seems a logical compromise. But looking at the pictures and reading of some users who claim the armrest was too short, I wonder if the Full size version would be better for comfort and just slide it back some for ease of shifting (which also gives access to the ashtray).

Any real-world users out there with thoughts?

I like the mini version with the cup holders. It only covers the factory console lid. It's a perfect fit for me with enough room to lean your arm.

I have the mini with the cupholders and love it. The cuoholders work great for cellphones, keyes and just about anything else. Its well made and heavy enough to stay in place for daily driving. A quick slip backwards and it tilts off the back but stays in place to GAS ON IT? Couldn't imagine not having it!

My pic in this thread was with the shorty I have since traded with JD for the longer one cause he wanted the clearance for his shifter and easy access to tray switches... it was a win win cause I don't race just cruise, the longer version has a little more storage and more comfort when leaning on it. I'll post a pic of the longer one tomorrow so the shifter clearance can be compared side by side.

But guessing the shorty will be what your looking for.
