Had the GN out last Saturday night for a bit. Would've posted sooner but I've been busy. I left the garage where the car is at about 11:30pm EST. Headed out to the local Sunoco to put a bit of gas in it. On my way there I come across a riced out 300ZX. Big wheels, big exhaust, and a big body kit. Stickers everywhere. It wouldn't have looked bad without the body kit. Got next to him and waited for him to make a move. He dropped it a gear and I nailed it. It was over before it began. I had at least 4+ car lengths on him. I guess the Greddy stickers didn't help... Kill #1.

Since I passed the gas station, I had to pull a "Weazel". It's a inside joke at my job for making a u-turn. I'm at the light, in the inside turn lane; when I see a interesting set of lights pull up behind. Almost on my bumper. I make the turn, swing it wide; and wait. It turns out to be a newer model TrailBlazer SS. Black with black rims and it sounded good. He pulled up next to me, took the hit, and I followed. I was rolling at about 30mph when I hit it. The tires came loose in 2nd gear and the back end started to slide out a bit. The Kumho's hooked up and away I went. I shut it down about two lengths ahead. They passed and I got a thumbs up from the guy in the passenger's seat.

Stopped and got gas and topped off the alchy tank.

Proceeded to head to the spot where everyone meets. I'll refer to this place as "Spot A". Rolled in with the exhaust open and parked it next to my buddy Rich's GN. Hung out for a bit as people started to pull out. Not many people out, and I like it that way. Caught up with everyone and gave Rich a hand sealing up his dump cap. That tool kit I keep in the trunk sure comes in handy at times! About 20 minutes later a familiar set of lights pull in. The lights of a Crown Vic. Unmarked. The uniformed officer says we have 5 minutes to clear out. Everyone rolls out to "Spot B".

I calmly walk to my car, start it up, and casually make my way out to the highway heading to the next spot. I wind up on the inside turn lane next to my buddy Tom in his LS-1 SS Camaro. Beautiful car, red with black trim and ZR-1 replica wheels. We make the left hand turn and I see another set of lights come up quick behind us. And this car is loud. It easily drowns out my GN and Tom's Camaro. It's an import, a Civic to be exact. Im about two lengths behind Tom to his left when the import tries to thread the needle. I closed the door on him. Maybe it was a dick move, but this guy is no good. At all. So I'm rolling even with the Camaro and we're messing around a bit. Well import boy gets impatient, drops it a gear (or two); and passes us. On the right. He passed us on the shoulder. No, no, no. That sh!t don't fly with me.

I'll describe the car. It's a newer model Civic, the bubble kind. I'm not up and up on them all so I can't be certian as to what year it is. It's red with black wheels. It has no front bumper (weight reduction?!), and a big aluminum lung hanging off the front. It's a turbo car, a K-series I think. And it has no exhaust. It has a stack that comes through the hood, diesel style. Did I mention the car is LOUD? This guy in the Honda is very, very schiesty, so I'm very alert at this point. No telling what he could do.

So I manage to catch a light next to him. I see him and his woman eyeballing me. The light is about to change and I bring the RPMs up to about 2000. This is a decent area for my car on street tires. I was careful not to blow the tires away. The green comes and we're off. He hammers it and the car is torque steering real bad. He's banging gears away in that car! My 1-2 comes and the car breaks loose a bit but immediately hooks back off and the TE-62 comes alive and I'm walking away from him. I hear him hit the next gear and I'm steadily pulling away. I give him the hazards just to rub it in a bit and let off. He had a car in his so he slows, gets behind me; and does a ricer flyby. Races all the to the on ramp to I-95. The whole group manages to stay together and we're all on the interstate. My other buddy Tommas in his '04 GTO comes up next to him but doesn't do anything.

We get to the next spot and everyone wants to know what happened. Honda boy is nowhere to be found. I was told he can't take a loss, at all. I honestly didn't think I'd win. I hear that car spins through 6th. Well I think I proved to him that spinnin' ain't winnin' and my old girl can still get done.

Don't think I'll be seeing him the weekend though. There's a Category 2 hurricane moving up the East Coast.

I wonder what he'll say if he has the balls to come up and talk to me.

Sorry for the novel, but that's exactly how it happened.

That's a sweeet night right there!! Haven't had that kind of fun street racing since my early 20's!! Good job and way to represent the Buick community!!

Good killin' scojack! That's my kinda day...one after the next LOL.
Especially ricer boy....he needed that whoopin'

Even if the myth of spinning his tires through 6th is real (probably does it with a rear brake line lock while doing a burn-out) we all know that having more power than you can actually handle and put to the ground...still = loser.

The civic is a k24 w/ k20 head stand alone big turbo big boost car no fenders to clear 26x9 and the huge fmic. This is a well deserved win after Honda guy almost hit you last year Scott as you left spot 2. I was glad to be there to see him go down, I think every one wanted to run him over that night, I know Tom with the gto wants him BAD.

Any word on what kind of ET's and mph that Honda has documented?

Tim, I hear it traps around 125mph; but that's with it blowing the tires away for the first couple gears. My buddy Tommas says it runs a 11.7@118 when it actually hooks. Im not sure. All I know is he needed to be brought down a couple pegs and I was the one to do it. As soon as we get the turbo 5.0 coupe running, my buddy Mike and I are gonna go hurt his feelings even worse!
