I purchased my first Turbo Buick while sationed at NAS Moffett Field in 1990. I used to hang out with Jerry Heimbecker. I haven't talked to him in years. Is he still around? QUOTE said:

That is the car. I parked it in 1999 with 74K miles on it. It's undergoing a mild restoration at the moment, but I plan to start driving it on a regular basis once complete. Living in the Bay area and racing the car was one of the best times of my life. Every time I go out into the garage and sit in the car it brings back those memories. I can't wait to get it back on the road.

The transmission is leaving Lonnie's shop tommorow!! We should have this thing fired up real soon...

Update!

Finally got it in!!!:) We should have it started by this weekend.

Hey Peter, I might be heading to the track this weekend if weather permits. Everything went silky smooth on the start up. All the numbers on the data logger looks good. The trans is shifting good. No LEAKS of any sort. Fuel is rising with boost 1:1. I have the 9 psi spring in the wastegate and it's yeilding me 10psi, so I got boost under control I think:rolleyes:. At 10 psi the cars pulls really hard!! I must replace my power steering pump and put the ac delete pully on. Other than that I think it's a go. Thank you again for the fan!!

Good stuff, Steve. This weekend looks promising with weather. Keep me posted and good luck! Glad to see it all come together after all the time you've put in it. Congrats!

Wow!

I went ahead and put the 14lb spring combination in the wastegate last night and took it out today and made a couple short wot blast. It's SICK!!!! When the boost comes in... hold on!! I'm at an ahh. It kinda scared me! They had some event at the track this weekend so it was a no go. They have test tune next Saturday so I plan on hauling it out there and running some 93 octane 15 psi and a set of mt slicks and see what she does. I got some real good data today. All in all the car is a blast to drive. I can only imagine what's going to happen when I start to crank it up.
