New Record THS at Reynolds, GA Nov 6, 2010

Holy Fricken Cow 9.80's :eek::eek::eek:

so what next up on deck some 9.50's

I think it won't be too much longer and THS with be as fast as TSM!

I said the class would be in the 9.60s before too long and if everything is left the same with the class it will most likely happen at the first race of the year in 2011. The only drawback will be the 2004r tranny at that weight. Will it live more than one race at a time..

Not THS legal.... but I heard a rumor that a 67HPQ 4 bolt has already been 9.20's.......just a rumor.

Being THS legal will not hold the cars back.. If you know what was in Sean's car you'd understand that there is ALOT left on the table given the rules.

Shorten his Right Leg

How could a 67 wheel in a 3 by 2 be as fast as a 71 in TSM?
I doubt fastest THS will ever come close fastest TSM.
That would be a 9.08 correct and roughly 150mph?

Plus I hear a fair amount of rules changes are coming already, I'm out if the powers that be Hack up the class. To clarify the rules seems fine but to change stuff that you buy specific for the class already is BS. If the goal is 10.5 et I guess they could shorten Seans right leg so he cant get full throttle.
I could give him a discount:D.

X2.... I agee with you on the rule change. Major rule changes will make those people who just spent money to make it into the class and be competitive step out. I hope your not right Clay...I seriously see your car being the cat's meow very soon with the current rules.

LMAO on the right leg discount. I will pass on that one though.

I wait to comment on how they will change the rules, but I got an idea on a target.

So is the rules changes in order to help make the class faster or slower ?

If he can shorten a leg I wonder if he can lengthen one...like a 3rd leg lol. I could use a little help haha

IMO The 3 bolt exhaust is the hold up in TSM. With a 4 bolt exhaust you'd see alot more 8s passes. The new 67 will move enough air to run low 9s but at what cost to the 2004r transmission.. Do I think they will run as fast as a TSM car? Most likely not, but will they will run 9.50-9.60s. I'd bet on it.

I hope this doesn't happen or if it does it needs to happen pretty quickly so people can decide on the direction they want to go with their cars.

I'm still upgrading some things to my car to maybe be competitive for 2011 and haven't even brought that car to an event yet, although I'm supporting the vendors along the way, still need a mega fuel system and xfi. Hopefully the rule changes aren't too drastic.

That would be an 8.89 @152........:eek:

ala Don "the Cruz Missle" Cruz

Why not just leave things alone???
To keep a few cars from running away from the rest. Kinda like what NASCAR does. The mid ten sec car owners may not show up if people start running 9.5s. A 9.8-10.5 field would be great imo..

So what is the 1 thing to do that would be the cheapest way to make the field more competitive??

So what you do is take the guys that spent money to be in the class and to have as fast as car as possible in the class rules and then cut him out by changing the rules? I will not make suggestions on rules as I would only be blasted by others. I will say that I have heard from a lot of people who are already starting to back out of the class b/c of what they "guessing" are going to be the rule changes. O well...I will hold the THS record for a while longer I guess...
