ok, since i have alot of talented friends on turbobuick.com and like to do research and talk to people who have been there and done that,

who did you get the turbo from? got a contact #?

What about the person who put the seal in it so we can use them on our cars, got a #?

What about the Throttle Body?

sure would like to talk to them and maybe get one for my car. the TB would be nice.

Precision has the turbo. Anyone can call and order one. I've had a 6365 for months now. I think Dr. Frankenstein sells the carbon seal backing plates. Throttle body I'm sure is fabricated from an intercooled throttle body or you can fabricate one to fit your set up. No magic pill like she said research and develope. That means instead of emptying your pockets to buy someone elses idea you might just have to empty them and get your own made.

never said there was a magic pill. like to ask questions. I know i can get a turbo from precision but i wasnt sure if she supported someone she knew who got the turbo and put a seal in it for her. We all like to support the people who make parts for us hotair guys.

Also not buying someone elses ideas. We all know or some of us know the TB is a issue and if we can get a bigger one that would help. however i havent had the time to find someone who can custom make me one. now that she has i figured we could support them and get more made.

Also i have gotten custom stuff made for my car and i have given the info out who did it for me. yes somethings are one off but they can be built again. also its nice to not have to empty your pockets buying stuff that doesn't work or needs to be tested several times to get it right. once its right its right.

just trying to learn, where here to learn right. if she doesn't want to say thats fine. If i found someone i could call and have a turbo made for our cars i would share. lots of people in the hotair section need bigger turbos. so i would share. like i said just trying to learn.

I see no problem with Brent asking for details. If Jamie wishes not to share, she doesn't have to. That is her desicion.....although, I REALLY hope she does!!! :biggrin:

If all the racers in the world shared all they're info would it still be called competitive racing? I mean come on guys a person has to keep some information to themselves if they want to remain competitive otherswise it wouldn't even be fun. And there also would not be any need for research and development. I mean why would there be if eveyone is going to know the same thing. You guys kill me, someone takes all the time and effort to figure out what works she tells you and you want her whole portfolio. How about just sayin congratulations and leave it at that. Her accomplishment is a great one and not out of reach for anyone that has the will and the dollars to do it themselves, as some of us have watched her go from 12.1xx, to high 11.xx to low 11.xx, high 10.xx and now to mid tens. It could have been any one of us but it wasn't. It took the right person, with the right amount of dedication to do it and Jamie did it. So again to keep this thread on track. I posted the details
6365 turbo
70 mm throttle body created by Karl my husband after 2 years trial and error.
Exhaust created by Karl my husband you worked on all this for over 2 years as well. If you want it done find someone to fabricate it for you, that's what we did. The turbo you have someone right here or a couple someone's willing to do this, this was a one of, no duplicates, they didn't have fun doing the first one.

As far as giving our numbers or what have you like I said these were one of a kinds which means we paid to have them done for our set up and paid a lot mind you. I don't see anyone offering to absorb the cost just get whatever to throw on the car.


I did what it took to get my car to do what I wanted, this was a lot of time and research that I paid for.

Oh but I should empty mine to help you right? The resources were something we sought out and paid for, I don't feel I need to hand everything over on a silver platter all the time because you or someone else on here says so.

No but it did supply the springs and accessories since no one sells these.

So, now I am whining?? Trying to learn what works and what doesn't, that makes us whiners?? ...and people here wonder why the hot air forum is dead and everyone wants to convert...because this is the kind of help we get...nothing against Jamie, as she seems to be very willing to give help and advise.

What love I don't see anyone on here jumping up and down to reinburse me for what we've accomplished either. You want someone else to foot the bill. If it was easy everyone would do it right??? Well folks it's not easy and it takes someone wanting to do a lot of trial and error and spending the $$, no one has stepped up to absorb any of that but they sure think I'm supposed to share because I got there with my goals. I did share what we used to get there, now how you go about getting those applications in on your dime. I shouldn't have to spend all the time and research just to hand it over and go here...

As far as E85 being pump gas, well maybe where you live you can't find it at the local station but it's available here right next to the regular and premium. It's available at the pump and I can actually fill the car at the station, way better then 110.

my 2cents of randomness...
everyone that has put a traditional hot air setup in the 10's, has spent alot of money, time, and one-off custom fabbed stuff. and it will most likely always be that way:) even in the end...asking tons of questions probably aint gonna get anyone around that.

and most people that convert to ic'd didn't need to anyway, since most will never see 10's even with their ic'd setup:rolleyes:
and yes... we hot-air guys, and gals, are a sensitive bunch:p. its a passion!

jamie, your intake is just a ported stocker, correct?
