My New Daily Driver has arrived!

Just received an email and picture from the dealership that my new 2009 Pontiac G8 GT was been delivered from the factory.

I doubt that this will keep GM from getting out of the hole they dug themselves into, but I guess every little bit counts.

I'm going to drive it around a bit for the break-in period then take it to the drag strip and see what she's made out of.

can't speak from experience, but I think GM got it right with the G8. been trying to convince my wife to replace her '01 GTP with one. :biggrin:

Thanks Guys! It's a great combination of Sport, Muscle and Luxury car that sold me on the G8 GT. That and the price was right on the money of what I could afford. People are already slapping on superchargers, turbos, etc... and getting them to go pretty quick. This is absolutely the first V8 car I've ever owned.

Since I received the car late in the afternoon, it was too dark to great any pictures. I'll post more later.

Break in period is a myth. Beat the ever living piss out of it, the rings will seat better. Lots of WOT pulls and lots of engine breaking ftw.

Plus, it's under warranty, who cares?

Nice car! I just bought a 2009 Pacific Slate Metallic G8 GT myself. FYI guys there is a sweet twin turbo system for this car about about 4 or 5 different supercharger kits as well. GM's best bang for buck car IMO

Thanks again! I already ordered my first mod, a Superchips Cortes tuner for the car. I half thought about getting the HP Tuner, but it’s more $$ and at this point I don’t see doing Major tuning on it.

I’ll post more pics once Matt (the resident photo hound) takes them.
