What kind of lives some GNX's had?...

Some more info on #007

This car spent its early life as the East Coast magazine/newspaper road test car. I had the good fortune to be given a test drive in it when Popular Mechanics editor Joe Oldham had it for a week. Joe let his then 17 yr old son Scott romp on it for a bit. We had a blast defining our launch techique!Unfortunately during its ride from my house back to his, it was rear-ended at a traffic light on RT 9 in Freehold, NJ. The driver's side of the rear bumper was pushed in and the 1/4 panel had a little kink. The car still had Michigan manufacturer's plates on it at the time. My records show that it was then sold to a Buick dealer in Tampa, FL.

Fast forward to '92 or '93 and I see the car at Englishtown Raceway Park for the Buick Performance Weekend show. The car was someone's daily driver and it had NY plates on it. The car was driven hard and needed some TLC. The stock rims were badly oxidized. I later found out that it spent some time in Rhode Island as well.

I, too saw the car (GNX #007) at Englishtown, NJ at the Buick Performance Weekend but not sure which year it was. The gentleman who had it was parked next to my GN in the pits and we spoke several times that day...But I must say that I don't recall the wheels being oxidized...The car's general appearance seemed ok ...

I did find #148 on the registry. It was last on the list.Apparently the previous owner put it there right before I bought it.Thanks for correcting me and letting me know...PHVROD #148

#077 Is here in the Cincinnati area. It has around 100,000 miles on it but has one of the best black paint jobs I have seen. The owner plans on passing the car down to his son one day.

Here's a pic of it from a few years ago:

Just saw the car and talked to the owner a few weeks ago.

#311 was at BG this year, and looked really good but driven, #001 is in the most recent Gm high tech magazine, it also said in the article that there were a couple for GM exec's that had moonroof......wonder if its true. and there was one from Florida that said jds gnx but didnt pay attention to the number.

The owner of a local speed shop has a GNX with about 40K on it. Will find out what number it is when I see him. My insurance agent owned #387 (pretty sure that was the number) He sold it a couple years ago and think it has changed hands again. Had about 10K on it when he owned it. Nice shape except for some dings in the pass door.

Gnx 031

I have had #031 since 1991 - second owner and originally sold in Cincinnati, OH. Currently has approx. 12,000 miles on it.
