Hot air on Stock block 11.14 @ 119.44

Great runs!!!!!

More fuel is a must in cooler weather, they'll go lean in a heart beat if you don't watch it. And will pick up with the fuel increase. I think a lot of folks with tuning can run 11's

Jamie

Congrats!!!!
Been screaming that to the masses all along. Thanks for confirming it. F Body day here on Sunday Sept. 23, should dip into the 11's myself.

WFO-All I wanted was a pepsi??

Can I be weirded out anymore? Just as I scrolled down and passed your sig, I happened to have BTTF2 going in the background. He said that as I passed it:eek: . I'm gonna go hide under my bed:redface: . Stockblock hotair running 11s-DAMN! Just imagine what some of you hotair members could do with one of our intercooled cars:eek:

Yeah I've got a trans brake I've never used too.:D

My car's not the least bit set up for drag racing,Eibach drop springs bilstein shocks and stock swaybars still in place.Much less trying to do it all on 275/50 BFG drags...

I'm sure there's a couple MPH left in it with a good wideband tune too...
Widebands are the way to go for tuning, no doubt in my mind. You really do very well with stock spring set up, intercooled cars prove this all the time, however I'd highly recommend the h&r parts rear sway bar because it takes the body flex completely out of the equation and you go straight ever pass. You also don't need the air bags with this sway bar set up. Just my two cents anyway and my car squats and launches.

I never understood why the old school thought was they needed to be lean, fuel creates horsepower and with horsepower you have go power. I'll be looking forward to your new personal best being posted. Hoping for nice cool weather and no humidity for your f body day, we have the m event similar concept on Oct 6th here at Stanton MI and I'm already seeing low 60's for that day and partly sunny, perfect

My car's actually gonna become more of a track car in the next year or two. It's actually gonna become my brother's car and he's gonna pay for my paint and interior on my 65 Plymouth. But it'll "stay in the family" and I'll still do all the work on it.

We're gonna pull my suspension off and put it on his 87 street car and we're gonna put a drag suspension on mine.I was planning on an HR bar already after seeing how Geno's car goes so straight with a Wolfe bar.

I hate to break it to you guys, but my car's not gonna stay hotair forever.I'll see if I can convince my brother to leave it for a while so we can run the number, but there's already talk of a twin turbo LS1.

jamie what was the a/f on that pass? wonder if u can get that 10 sec slip if you add just a mist of alky to cool the charge even more?

This is exactly what we are thinking, I might still need the cooler weather to get there but I'm think just misting it should really wake her up and then who knows. The air fuel was 11.5 to 1 for that entire pass no correction. I think I'm getting the hang of this. LOL

Hey we meet your dad the last time we were up to tune a really nice guy.

Jamie

Yeah - that was the night I "lost" my door, and left early.

I'm hoping to get back out once more and see how this BB66 works. I'm hoping for 124mph+ but we will see.

what is your combo.let us know when you hit 10s
I do have a recipe on Turbo Regal Web Site under hot airs rule. However there have been changes to that since it was posted back in the day. One thing is the heads I'm running now are just ported and cleaned up not big valved. The crank is still stock the rods are still stock I believe this one has trw pistons. The turbo is a hybrid from John Craig at Limitied Engineering. The transmission is Brian hofner from Michigan and the convertor is the real Art Carr non lock up 3200-3400. I also have H&R parts motor mounts, trans mount and rear sway bar. I run Mickey Thompson drag radials on centerline rims. The exhause is atr and the down pipe is a custom 3 inch we had done. There's the stephs evac pump, the electric water pump and a gasket matched intake on the car. I left on the foot brake with 13#'s of boost for these passes. I still have to the alcohol to play with and see what that nets me. All in all a lot of hard work and research with a lot of innovation by my husband. We eliminated all my exhaust leaks in the past couple of years with some mods my husband came up, had my headers surfaced ground so that they laid flat. Just a lot of stuff to finally creep up on the tune and go for it. The car weights 3765 with me in and full tank of gas as well. So, it's not like it light either. Full interior, 6 point roll cage and all metal body still.

I thought he said that happened a week or so before, didn't realize you were there that day. I thought it was cool when he said nice hot air then he said something about you and I knew exactly who he was then. Gm tech event October 6, Stanton 9-4 would be a great time to test it out.

Well I can't give away all the secrets, Hey Brian Hofer I'm sorry I keep spelling your last name wrong but I'm sure people can still find you. LOL

I'll be in Vegas - I hear you on the M/T DR's - I've been 1.55's on a 7psi launch with my TA49

Yeah I really love the Mickey Thompson Drag radials you run with 17# cold 18 # hot and the hook like crazy, not to mention no wobble at the top end or anything. Then put air in them up to about 27-28# and hit the street. Nice 60's on the ta49

Congradualations Ms. Jamie....

It is not a shock that you are on the brink of busting 10's. Leo left to the door open and others followed (Boostmaster, Brent, and many others). Everyone is now TURBO crazy. So this doesn't really shock, but amazes:biggrin: Keep up the good work and rightfully become the the FASTEST Woman in a HOT AIR..OOoops, I think you already are:biggrin:   . It could not have happen to a nicer group of people.
