Id like to use my stock 88 Mustang GT as a partial trade on a TB or any kind. I just want to get into a TR so bad its killing me. I also have some cash to put up, but want to see whats out there first. I could take detailed pics of anywhere on the car you like. Heres a description with pics at the bottom.
'88 Mustang GT. I bought it as a rolling chassis, and have converted it to 5 speed while installing the motor/trans. The motor has approx 87K and runs really well with no knocks or smoke. Its got a BBK offroad H-pipe with unknown mufflers, but they give it a good tone. The A/C has been converted to R-134 and works great with no leaks in a years time. If in 4th gear and you go to pass someone, you can hear a bit of valve chatter, but its nothing major. The trans is of unknown mileage and shifts well except there is a slight grind going into second if the clutch isnt pushed in all the way to the floor. Power windows work fine, door locks do not. Needs paint and tires. Its got a new stock clutch set, motor mounts, oil pump, water pump, A/C orings and seals, A/C dryer and hose, thermostat, clutch cable with firewall adjuster, billet quadrant, K&N drop in filter, heater core, door weather strip seals, brakes on all 4 corners with 2 new front rotors, and other misc parts. There is no rust other than a little surface rust on the roof and some pitting over the decklid keyhole. The car was in a rollover accident in 2001, and is evident by a repair to the drivers A and C pillar. However, it is a VERY good repair. Ther is minor Bondo cracking. I didnt know until I ran a Carfax on it. The front fenders and wing need replacement, but good ones are included as well as a crack free rear wing. The tires will need replacement. Overall, this is a good reliable car for a decent price. I hate to sell it, but I need a truck more than a car.
