Mods are in my sig. the converter is 3200 stall. My new PT67 just took a crap with only 50 miles on it. It's going out tomorrow to get rebulit. Now I'm thinking of seeling this turbo once I get it back. It;s a nice turbo but my converter is a little small. What size turbo do you think I should go with that will compiment my conveter and still get into the 10's with?? Looking for a better, faster spooling turbo for the street and still get into the 10's at the track. Only addition to the combo will be a PAC akly kit in the spring.
Thanks for your thoughts

I have a setup close to yours. I've got a 67BB that should spool fast with my 3200 stall when I get finished with my rebuild and should be a 10 sec. capable car.

13sec sleds only need a stock turbo.... seriously tho can they make that 67 into a ball bearing turbo ,bet that would be wicked...:p

Hey Dennis, you still looking for a motor???
well if you have a SBC for my grandpa regal, then i got the turbo parts,to join the ranks of the Regal Turbo SBC club.., I have a motor on the way for my TTA,thanks tho....but i could use a ride in that beast...and some GTA front rims if you know of any ,just need 2...
take care

Was up BW??? How is KC? No not selling the Blue T, I want to bulid a 4.1 thinking of selling my current motor.......

KC is doing good, very nice weather think it was 65° today.

The track is hooking and everyone is doing pretty good here.

PM me some details of you motor, im thinking of doing a stroker 109 with a girdle...

Whatcha got??? I remember it being pretty fresh...

I would consider keeping the 67. If everything else is working "properly" you should be able to spool with that converter. Maybe a boost controller that helps increase spool up, but I wouldn't downgrade turbo's!

Good luck!

There's nothing wrong with the PT67.

Mine just pushed my stock unopened motor into the 10's. ;)

This past sunday, we got a guys car to run 10.69 at almost 127 with a regular ole PT67 turbo on a 1.56 or slower 60'

That car is full weight and the boost was 26psi, 27° down low and 23° on the top end.
Couple gallons of racegas on the meth tune to be safe.

Heck, look what Grumpys daughters car is running 10.10 at 132 on a 66 trim turbo:eek:

Nick,---Why did the turbo fail with only 50 miles?
BW

What exhaust housing?

My stall is suppose to be 3400 but I have seen 3800 at the track with my te-61.

HOLY SCHNIKE! i was looking into a 67. can you elaborate more on this? was it a manufacturers defect? Are they rebuilding for free? what trim was it and how much would you sell if for after the rebuild?

My Pt67 is an older big shaft P trim. That was fresh approx. 50 miles on it. Not sure what happened to the turbo. Never had it over 15# of boost. I took the DP off this past weekend and there was a ton of oil in the exhaust housing and DP. I will find out Friday what happened.

YULLOSE, What stall is your converter??

Haven't really studied the RPM's too much... but it's around 3000 or so.
It's a little tight, but I don't mind the lag on the street. It's like built-in traction control. :D
The convertor was made for an entirely different combo, so I just got lucky that it works in my GN.
