So I have a manual and spent 4 hours trying to read through the schematics with no luck so I need some help knowing what in the world I am missing here.

So if you can refer to the pictures numbers and tell me what they are and where they go to would be greatly appreciated. I tried to take pictures of the surrounds so you can tell where they are at in relation with the engine bay. THis is an 84 GN hot air. I have deleted the egr.

ok, yea. 282 is the powermaster. SInce the engine harness is from an 85 this makes sense. I think the brown wire 288, 287 is for the digital display.

The shop manual should also have pics, [drawing], and locations of each plug....

289 is the tach wire. Don't use it, unless you want to plug an aftermarket tach into it.
287 and 288 are the plug for the digital dash boost lights. Leave alone.
282 and 283 are the powermaster plugs. Leave alone.
Hard to tell, but 286 looks like the fuel pump prime wire. Leave alone.
