Do you recomend buying a salvaged a kit instead of a new set up from a parts house?

fast eddie what stall do you run in the 400 with that te-44. does it have stock 400 gears. I swaped to a 400 a few months back but have not been able to get to the track. Are your times on slicks And at what boost.

I have a switch pitch t-400,built by a local builder,stock gears with a 1800-2800 stall converter.
vac brakes- go with the reds regal t kit,great service
