The New Guy From NewZealand

nah were to close to coil bind.new 145's are here tested pressures 160Lb so should settle in nice to 145 after a run up :D

New springs in and some comp cam magnum pushrods.decreased valve lash while we were at it to try get faster spool up on the transbrake. Fitted the wideband to check fueling.first thing we notice cold start was leaner hot idle way leaner in gear idle leaner as in 15-16:1 lean. Took it to the street on 21psi ish don't know exact boost gauge goes to 20psi and 2 bar map only reads 14.7 lol.hit boost 13:1 guess it's stopped a lot of exhaust reversion fitting springs. Totally no traction so few blips on the way home to fit slicks and get the laptop even at 13:1 the avgas keeps it alive with our soft timing of 14 degrees.fitted slicks pulled a plug timing Mark right on the weld of the earth strap. Added fuel and hit it again 12.8:1 full traction on the slicks added a little more dead on 12:1 fueling and just dips into 11s full noise before the limiter traction on slicks was limited lol.went a little richer and started getting a miss coming on boost due to the 14psi limit of the map sensor making 14psi too rich now that we have 21psi rich enough.time to fit the 3 bar map and retune lol.checked plug again timing Mark back to just after the bend where it should be :) drags in two weeks see what she runs now.also found the wastegate starting to crack open at 12psi added a second spring should 60 harder hopefully

The old girls still running hard got it up at 23psi on 14 degrees making up for a loose converter.we twisted a b&m nitrous hotshot converter and it wouldn't stall up at all was almost like a clutch little bit of throttle and it would stop slipping couldn't get past 1500rpm.fitted a used 6500 rpm hughes converter out of a big cube big block methanol supercharged car that came up cheap.makes launching a breeze roll in hit the transbrake full throttle and it's at max boost near instant but it has put us up past max torque and max hp rpm and cost us a few mph but can roll off the trailor and run 1.5 60s and 10s every pass very easily now instead of battling to get in the lights and get it on boost.
Also fitting a 1.06 A/r single entry t3 turbine housing on in place of the 0.84 twin scroll to try get rid of some backpressure as every time we add boost max hp rpm moves lower so trying to get some more grunt up higher in the revs .it's currently running 3.08 diff gears and 27" tyres to get our mph back from the loose converter as a bandaid

new ln3 is in after being flipped over for new cam bearings , new cam same grind as before, new ls7 lifters, new mains and bigends, crank was crack tested hot tanked measured and index checked before polished and the oil galleries deburred .fitted some hand ported heads with 5 angle valve job and bigger stainless valves new stem seals $18 gaskets new neoprene rear main seal ,reused the arp headstuds .its in and running bit more choppy with the new lifters and heads .3 bar tuning starts tomorrow

Didn' Have time to finish tuning the 3 bar so did a quick touch up on the old 2 bar tune.was really lean on much lower boost and by 19psi the 60lb injectors were at 100% by 6000rpm but safe enough to go racing.first run off the trailer 10.43 @130.9mph 2nd run 10.33 seems we make the same power at 5psi less than before so the ported heads and ls7 lifters are working.we did a pass on 12psi when the ebc failed ran 11.1 normally would take 17psi to do that time.calculator says were are up 50hp more than when we were at 23psi if we can get some more fuel in and crank it back to 23psi it' going to be over 100hp gain from the heads.

Got it on the dyno a while ago leaned it out up top and added 2 degrees of timing gained 50rwhp went 500rwhp on 20psi added 2 more degrees and pushed out a stock head gasket really need some mls to hold the cylinder pressure still more in it yet

That's cool. What does your car weigh?

2870lb on the line ready to launch just currently building my own car I'm sick of watching same combo in a 1700lb car lol

That's pretty light. Certainly helps. My car just seems to get heavier instead of lighter.
