Tore down my TSM car this winter because I was itching to go another direction.
Went a best of 5.68 in the 1/8 and 9.11 in the 1/4 with the setup, which was very dependable.

Lucked into a virgin early 153 block last fall and that set the ball rolling.

The car was 3275 with my 225 pounds driving last year. As soon as it was stripped I started looking for weight to remove.
Removed the door bars and radiator support first. I never want to do another set of door bars again.
Got a tubular 5 pound core support from Iceman Products. Fits well but had to use spacers where it mounts to the bumper bracket.

Sold the 10 bolt and spec'd this TRZ 9 inch for the car. Ordered it with no spring perches, and coilover brackets installed as well as anti roll bar tabs for the TRZ anti roll bar I'm going to use.
Also got a AAPerformance tubular torque box with several adjustment points, plan is to cut out everything in the frame and start over.
Bought coil over conversion parts for the Afco shocks I had.
Went with a Yukon nodular iron center section mainly due to cost. Pro gears with a spool and 35 spline Strange axles.

You will love the 9 inch one of the best mods I did to mine.

I'm hoping the added adjustments will help. My car has bad geometry and I've never been able to overcome it.

I think your going to be pleasantly surprised.i know it was an eye opener for me.

It's at Tin Soldier racecars in Cincy now, having torque box installed, and it's getting double frame rails and whatever else is necessary frame wise to cert 25.5.
When motor is in they will take it back and set up weights and angles for rear suspension.

I run the hr bar on mine just welded in new brackets.works awesome!

I had my 10 bolt ladder braced with welded mounts for HR bar, they're hard to beat but it's just not gonna work with this new setup.

Paul is a good guy and I use all his products I can. His support for Buick racing has been a constant for many years.

Is that an actual 153 block or early on center before they were 153's? Does it have cross bolted mains?

Early on center without cross bolts. Stamped 153 tho.

we had the best results scaling the car with the driver in it

Do you have a combo in mind?I will understand if you want to keep it close to the chest

153 stroked
Crank, rods and cam will be the secret voodoo stuff
Champion heads and Intake
Holley Dominator
76 turbo
3000 pounds
4 seconds

But it could turn into a LSX build at some point...
