shaved bumper question

I am curious how you attach the bumper to the reinforcement, after you weld the holes. Do you weld a stud on or weld the bumper to the support? thanks

What I did on mine was to first weld up all the unused holes (rubber strip and license plate holes) BUT I kept the square holes into which I had some of the original nuts welded inside to reattach the bumper to the reinforcement.

We usually cut out 2 10" sections from a steel reinforcement bar where the bumper shocks attach, and weld them to the inside of the bumper.
